As I was in the bath, Nathaniel and Sophie were noticeably curious about what was going on. This was the first bath I'd taken since I got them. Sophie kept sticking her nose in and yanking it back, but I made it through the bath no problem. As I was drying off, I hear a splash and a loud scrabbling noise, and Nathaniel comes darting out of the bath tub soaking wet. *laughs* Poor baby. He keeps running all over the place and then pausing to lick his feet. I think Sophie is just as amused as I am.

We had a similar incident with Sam. He liked to go out and sit by the pool at night and sometimes would try to drink out of it like a lion at a waterhole. One night, he slipped out and came back in through the cat flap soaking wet from his belly down to his toes. Even his tail was wet. He must have fallen in at the steps (thank God) and been able to walk out, otherwise he would have been wet all over.
I'll be Nathaniel will be more careful about that big pond in the bathroom from now on.

Libbykate, don't be surprised if Nathaniel decides he likes the water! MacKenzie is a total water baby ~ he actually likes to have a bath, kitchen sink style (loves the heated bath towels he gets dried off with, too), and, if I'd let him, he would jump in the tub when I'm taking a bath; I have to push him away from the edge of the tub; he keeps dipping his paws in the water and 'gathering' himself on the edge of the bathtub for the 'plunge'!

Nathaniel already loves to stand in the sink when the water's on and drink from the faucet and he definitely sticks his paws in their water bowl. I don't what he'll make of warm water.
