  1. The kitty girls all had a wonderful time at the sleepover, telling ghostie stories, and laughing and giggling and cuddling! The pink tent with the kitty ears was a HUGE hit with all!

The spa/beauty party was, likewise, a big success! All the girls got massages, 'fluffs and buffs', some got trims, and all got lovely pedicures (or clawdicures?) with their selection of colors; each picked out their personal fur ornament ~ some chose bows, some chose flowers, and some chose feathers! All returned home thru the cat hole to their furramilies happy, relaxed and with their own personal little bag of 'kitty beauty swag samples', compliments of the house.

Kittymom, on the other hand, spent most of yesterday running around the house with a broom and vacuum, chasing the remaining crickets and lizards. Some were alive (until Kittymom got to them), some were deceased (thankfully), and some were just 'partial remains' ('enuf said).... all are gone now! After the last kitty scooted home thru the cat hole, there were litter boxes to be cleaned, washed and stored for the next party, and general clean-up of platters, plates, glasses and party supplies! With so much to do, Kittymom didn't even have a minute left to use the computer!!

Once everything was returned to normal in Mac and Grommie's household last night, Kittymom jumped into bed with her copy of 'Dewey', a nice cup of kaluha and chocolate coffee, Mac and Grommie, and read, and read, and read......

Only a few more chapters, and I'm ready for April's book club discussion ;-)
I stopped reading to catch up on TDK chat because I know I'm close to the "crying" part of Dewey's life story!

MacKenzie and Grommet want to thank ALL their TDK kitty furrends soooo much for making their purrday party so special! They LOVE all their gifts (even the crickets and desert lizards) and hope all their kitty furrends had a wonderful time!

  4. Actually, didn't get to post last nite as the internet was down at the hotel. Am at another hotel tonite. We had a great time and took pix! KW is off to Phoenix today and is meeting 2Pop and AZDeb. She is going to combine all the pix and post them together. We had a lovely dinner and conversation at the Cheesecake factory. She is so kind, so easy to talk to! Best of all Bobby and Milo joined us! We talked a long time about all our buddies on TDK, Mac and Grommies party, our kits, our lives, and of course about all the neat meetings with others! Afterwards we walked around the mall and chatted more. I brought her some gifts and she gave me a book! Now I want to meet my other kindered TDK'ers!

  6. talking to homeland security now, they lost my driver's license!! Still trying to figure out how I can get out of here tomorrow!!!!! Yikes

  7. Who lost your driver's license?? How did they get it?? Do you have any other ID with you that you can use at airports???

Posted 2 years ago by kittymom #

  8. HOMELAND SECURITY lost my license in chicago! yea, go figure. they were none too helpful to get it back to me. it 'disappeared' from the time it went into the xray screener at the airport until it came out on the other end. i took out my passport from my purse cause i didn't want to lose it while i came here. boy do i wish i had it now. i just got off the phone with homeland security and i have to come in early tomorrow for ''extra'' security measures!

  9. ARRRRGHHHH!!!! That's horrible! Are they going to help you with replacement, and any notifications you may have to make, if they don't 'find' it for you? Can you call your Congressman or Senator(s) and try to get some help from their staff people??

Posted 2 years ago by kittymom #

  10. well, my senator WAS Obama, don't think he's able to help too much! and NO, they said they weren't responsible for replacing it! which is why i spent two hours with them spinning my wheels! UGHHHHHHHHHHH

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  11. That's just not right, they "lost" it in a matter of seconds!!!! What do they think, it jumped off that xray screener? {{MC}}

On the other hand, if you COULD get a hold of one of his staff people, Obama is probably the BEST politician to help you with this one ;-)
I do hope you get it all cleared up soon.

  12. I liked their response: "well it does have your address on it so we will know where to send it IF we find it!" that's a big DUH! One lady wanted to shut down the machine and see if it came off my goodies while passing thru, guy said "not enuff time, keep movin"

  13. My girls had a wonderful time at the party and are still showing off their nails.

Kittymom, about Dewey - just have some kleenex nearby!

  14. I second the kleenex! Can't wait to see my girls and their new fluff and kitty nail tips. They will be happy to bring their kitty tent again when there is another sleepover! They love it, but even more so when they can share it with friends.

  15. Leela had a wonderful time. She came home with bright pink claws, her fur was silky and glossy, and she was accessorized with feathers!
