  1. Good evening all. I'm sorry everyone seems to be sick. I hope you all can find the right anecdotes to clear the ailments up. It's a good thing that you can't catch anything online. I've been real lucky in that, aside from my allergies, It's been several yrs. since I've been sick. I sure don't want to catch anything now.

CM...I wish I could've met your Mom. A Mom that loves Tiger Woods is my kind of lady. I go gaga over him every time golf season starts. It's too bad he's taken.

  2. Wow - nice imitation, AV!!!! But you didn't scowl enough!

MollyCat - hot water, as hot as you can stand it to gargle with; one tablespoon of salt and two aspirin or tylenol dissolved in the water. Gargle every four hours and spit behind bushes at Disney World. Oh wait - that's not really part of the instructions! And in between gargles, hot tea with tons of honey and lemon.

    And rest, rest, rest.

Speaking of which, I am off to bed! Good night, Everyone!

  3. Well, late to the nightshift as usual so I'm pouring myself a nice glass of shiraz and having some leftover stilton and biscuits. I work in a rehab that has assisted and independant living in the same complex and the best thing happened at work tonight! A resident from independant living is at the rehab following surgery and tonight she needed some things from her apartment. The supervisor came down and asked who could go to the unit with her to keep an eye on the cat while she gathered up the residents things. I of course jumped at the chance and got to meet the most beautiful black and white kitty named Sam. He is a "door darter" and I had to prevent his escape then take him to the livingroom and keep him occupied with all his many toys. He looked a lot like todays kitten, phloofy black and white with lots of little black patches. He purred and rubbed his face on me and was such a sweetie cat. It made my day! I just had to come to the nightshift and share my cat fix since I don't have the 24 hour luxury of a cat like most of you. I'll quiet down and let the rest of you get some sleep now.

  4. MS is in the NS office, checking on back posts and looking at the pics of the Phoenix meet-up.

  5. awww KK, that's great you got to see Sam.
hi MS..just checking in for a minute before I rest a bit more..taking Maddie to gymnastics this morning so I do have to get my butt in gear in a little while.
Hope all is well with you.

  6. Morning MS and CM, have fun taking Maddie to gymnastics :) Fell asleep while watching whatever was on tv, so thats a good thing....woke up to a kitty pile on my feet/legs, lol.

  7. awwww kitty pile!!! How are you today Deb...and why are you up so early! It's almost 6am here so it's 3 there...

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  8. Hi,
I think that having a kitty pet is of great fun and interesting too.

    Posted 3 years ago by rah07 #

  9. Yep almost 3 am here, woke up because I couldn't move my legs...had 3 of 'em lying on top of my legs because they 'needed' a pillow I guess and one lying on my shoulder using that as a pillow. Considering its 65F in the house, don't think it was because its cold or anything but you never know.

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  10. LOL at the image I get of Deb under a 'kitty pile'. I bet it was warm and cosy. Sounds like you had a great day today Deb and it tired you out.
CM, are you attempting to get a sleep in? I thought you didn't get those now.

  11. Now Kitty is rabbit-kicking the hallway rug, Haje and Lil Girl are trying to be cute while lying on the computer desk in 'front' of the monitor of course and who knows where the rest are. Also the coyotes are harrassing something in the open field behind my house, can hear their yipping while they run.

  12. MS, was trying to sleep a bit, haven't decided completely but am thinking of cutting my hair today. It's bugging me, catches on things while at work unless I keep it braided and I don't want to do that right now. It grows fast so not worried if I cut it about mid-neck length, can't do really short.

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  13. MS..I don't know what I was thinking. I have been up since 5, Abbie cried so I changed her and tried to feed her and she didn't want a bottle..so I put her back into her bed..now here I am an hour later still awake...i have to get up soon anyway..I am tired today.
I love when they rabbit kick. Fred and Cricket are playing who can be the loudest buffalo running through the house.

  14. hi Rah..kitties are fun and interesting :)

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  15. Okay Abbie is trying to chew her hand off...I am going to try and feed her again. I don't know if or when I will be back on today..busy day. I also plan to take a nap! Night MS :) Deb..hope you are well my friend.

  16. Sounds like the "Crew' are in fine form tonight Deb. Be brave and cut your hair to about mid neck length, it grows quickly so if it's not right it won't be wrong long.I think it will suit you after looking at the pics KW posted. I've been brave twice now.
CM, I hated it when I had enough time after tending to the kids in which to get a speed nap in but just couldn't fall asleep. Speaking of buffalo, Shadz has come in for the night, had her supper and galloped u[stairs to lay claim to my side of the bed. She sounds like 6 cats not one cat. What a thumping she makes.

  17. Cm, love the visual of little Abbie trying to eat her hand....I am doing alright this morning, have a great day and hope you work a nap in there too.

Now imagine w/o stairs mind you, six of them rumbling down the hallway as a herd of elephants! MS, no I have no problem with cutting it, its deciding on how since I don't do perms and messing with it much....mostly wash and wear.

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  18. I don't do perms or colouring, actually my hair doesn't do either, it won't take a perm and it just laughs at colouring. I have a great hairdresser who cuts my hair to suit how it grows, she manages to cut it so that the minimal kink my hair does have becomes more than a kink. And she does this all in my Mum's kitchen for a very reasonable price.

  19. See that hairdresser is a keeper in my mind, love when someone actually works with your hair.

  20. Evening, MS and Deb, you both sound good tonight, even though it's 3am where you are, Deb!

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  21. Evening Jcat, how are you tonight and Jasper and Libby. Do they make a thumping as they tear through your house?

    Posted 3 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  22. Morning jcat, yes it is a bit after 3 am. Think I am going to try for a tad bit more sleep though since its not even close to daylight. Sat outside looking at Venus last night since it was so close and the stars where just great last night. How was your day?

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  23. I'm fine and so is Libby. Jasper seemed a bit off-colour yesterday, but he seems better today. So I'm keeping an eye on him because of the diabetes... Libby doesn't thump very much, although when I open the door to her, she races down the corridor, jingling all the way (because of her collar) but she's so light and she leaps so long, she scarcely seems to touch the ground.
Jasper doesn't do running, lol, at least not very often. I think you have to have stairs and an upstairs to really appreciate cat thunder!

I've just read Lisa's post. How absolutely terrible. It seems unbearable, to lose a pet that way.

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  24. Deb, that sounds lovely, looking at Venus and the stars. Too chilly to do that here at the moment, brrrrrrr.

I was out at a dolls' club meeting, had a nice time, came back and did a bit of work, watched telly and our version of Dancing with the Stars, tee hee. Would like to get my teeth into some gardening or wood stripping -- something strenuous -- but need to get these papers finished first...

  25. Ok I give, fighting the modem this morning with trying to keep the line up....it drops, its back, it drops, etc.....

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  26. Hate when you want to be outside but work beckons! Hope that Jasper gets to feeling better, Max hasn't gotten into the diabetis yet but he probably will according to the vet. Mine still sound like a thundering herd on tile floors, they are all bigger kitties though (none weigh under 10 lbs).

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  27. Its not bad at night here right now, and no mosquitos out yet to attack me. And Venus is on its last cycle being close to the earth for the next 8-9 years so take whatever chance I have to see it.

Well going to catch up on reading some magazines while its still safe as everyone seems to have tired themselves out and are lying in various locations around the room.

Posted 3 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  28. It always astounded me how two or three tiny little kittens, when I was fostering kittens, none weighing more than a few pounds, could thunder round the house, now they really did sound like a herd of heffalumps, especially first thing in the morning.

The real thunderers around here are the hedgehogs on my verandah, their feet flap and slap like nothing else, they frequently wake me up from sleep...

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  29. Enjoy your reading, Deb, it's great when all the kitties are asleep :)

Posted 3 years ago by jcat #

  30. Hope you get a bit more sleep in Deb, without furry interruptions.
Jcat, today I went out to get seedling for my winter vege garden but was very disappointed at what the garden centres had or rather did not have to offer. I came home with one punnet of coloured silver beet and a packet of Sweet Pea seeds. I'm trying to hunt down Khol Rabi seeds but no one seems to stock them this year. It's a vege in case you haven't heard of them. Tomorrow Mr MS will have to help me put 2 large bags of fortified soil on the vege garden so it can produce great veg for the winter and I'm going to sow more beetroot. I'm loving them this year and roasted some earlier in the week, yummmm.
