  1. I know its Sunday/Monday/Tuesday or close to it but NO Night Shift, no way!!! Well I am off to work, hope that everyone had a good day, whether you relaxed or actually did productive 'stuff' and that are feeling well or getting better.

For a little smile I leave you this for a bit:

  2. Hmmmmm peeking back into the NS, seems everyone is sleeping early this evening....well good, guess its needed with the changing of the seasons coming soon.....

  3. MS is still awake but not for long. For this week and part of the next I have to take Mr MS to work at 5.30am, so that means a relatively early night. :-(
Just checking on back posts at the moment.

  4. Hi, Deb, just popping in to say I actually AM off to bed early tonight -- with a whole pile of proofreading, what fun! Will miss chatting to you and MS but will be back tomorrow! Nighty-night, give that crew a belly snorgle from me!

  5. Cor blimey, MS, that was a rapid sneak in!

  6. I'm still here sneaking about.

  7. Hi,
It is good hobby to sleep early evening and wake up early morning also.

  8. Understandable MS and jcat, if I had a choice lately I would be sleeping too....actually anytime I can get to sleep and stay asleep I will take it...

rah07, depends on whether you work nightshift or not on the sleep habits, plus the time zones one lives in...btw hello there

  9. Hi, Rah07. Unfortunately that is not what MS and I am doing as it is almost 11pm here in New Zealand, but it is an early night for us!

  10. And I do work the night shift so sleep during the day while most 'normal' peeps are out and about.

  11. RAH07 I agree, it is good for you but sometimes the fast pace of life makes it difficult to do that. I'm just thankful that it is still early Autumn or it would be cold as well as dark.

  12. MS, how did the hubby do with the fishing competition the other day?

Posted 8 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  13. No big prizes but we have wonderful meals. I smoked 3 fish, the last one tonight along with a chicken breast and the smell is wonderful. I put Earl Grey tea in with the Manuka sawdust and the fish has the very delicate flavour of the tea. Very successful experiment.

  14. Sounds like it turned out pretty well, would an orange spice tea work with fish too? I don't eat fish much but it seems like it would if the Earl Grey tea did.

  15. I was considering a lemon tea I saw at the supermarket but wanted to try the Earl Grey first. The orange spice one would probably go very nicely with chicken. Hmmmmmmmm, that is a good idea. I'll let you know if I try that and how it comes out.

  16. Love drinking the orange spice tea, so figure it would work out. Glad that he got some fish, but then again it sounds like he always gets something when he goes out.

  17. MS, you have the yummiest ideas. I like my fish just plain grilled but you could probably cook it in the oven in an aluminium foil packet with Earl Grey or orange spice tea too, couldn't you?

Well, I am glad I caught you both to say good night but I think I had better go finish cleaning up the kitchen and then take my proofreading to bed :( I expect Libby will come and keep me company some time in the night but Jasper seems to prefer the couch now. It will change when the cold weather comes...

Night, MS and Deb. Enjoy that fish and leave some for HRH, MS. Scritches to all the kitties...

  18. They've been lucky lately, the warmer waters have brought the fish in closer especially the big tropical fish like marlin, swordfish and tuna. They will only tag and release those bigger kind as they are too beautiful to be caught for eating or as trophies. He only targets the eating/smoking type and gets enough for several meals, any more would be greedy. Time for me to head off to bed now, Goodnight Deb and Jcat and RAH07.

  19. Jcat, I saw it done in a wok(in a magazine) with the tea leaves wrapped in tinfoil with holes punched in it so the smoke can get out and the fish/chicken on a rack above. I just adapted it to suit my little portable smoker. First attempt was yesterday and i'm happy with it so may try some other tea next time.
