  2. And get this Cindy had worked up the courage to ride the sub but they closed it because of the quake and when we got home we recieved a card from the travel agent asking how we liked the new earthquake ride .haha

  3. Cheeky travel agent! Earthquakes are not fun!

Beach for me, every time. I'm only an hour or so's drive from a wild and glorious coastline here but I've always lived within sight of the sea before and I miss it! NZ is a very skinny couple of islands and we have an awful lot of coastline so most of us aren't far from the sea. Moonlit walks along the beach are some of my favourite childhood memories...

  4. My good friend that paints called me today, and I'm going to go to her house to "tweak" my painting skills.... I have to paint some cats or humming birds to replace those horrible "fish" pics".... here, I'll try to show the horrible fish pics below: look above the beds:!

  5. They're not that terrible AV...but of course cats would be better.
BTW, I chose mountains...trees, squirrels, raccons, chipmunks, deer....

  6. Excatly TL, I love fish, but they belong at the beach house!..... my mountain home needs hummingbirds, or mountain sunsets, or "Abby looking at her birds".... ... I swear I WILL paint those.....!!!

  7. I would love to live on the Hood Canal in Washington state. Mountains come down to Highway 101 on one side and beaches come up to the highway on the other side. The best of both worlds!

  8. oohhh OC, that sounds like heaven! tell us more about the Hood Canal, I'm not familiar with that part of the country!... would love to hear....

  9. The Hood Canal is a saltwater fjord off Puget Sound and is about 50 miles long. It is part of the Olympic Peninsula. I have only been there twice (just passing through) and fell in love with the area. Someday I'm going to retire there (I hope).

This is what I drive thru going up to Burnsville.... and you should see the top of the mountain !..... the Spring is just as beautiful! I can basically throw anything in the ground and it grows!!!! Fla. is so hard to grow a proper garden!..... jealous of MS's garden in NZ!!!!..... would love to be able to grow my own veggies... could do that if I moved to NC... thinking seriously of that...!
