The trip was delightful, MC....and it really started with my whirlwind trip to Portland, Oregon to have dinner with you the night before flying to AZ! I'm sorry you got sick and came back to a troubled situation at work. I hope both clear up soon!!

KW, she is healing finally but it will take a bit. Today was the first day she drove and came back to work, don't think she was ready yet...her foot was hurting when I left work.

My husband had a wretched cold while I was gone. (He rarely gets sick.) He got up out of his sick bed to pick me up from the airport at midnight last night. Silly man. I think he missed me! :)

I went to Phoenix, AZ to visit 2P and go with her to the AZ Aloha Festival last weekend. We had a blast and I got to watch her hula school perform. Monday I drove to my Dad and step-mom's home in Yuma, AZ. Just got home last night. When I left Eugene, OR on the 12th, the temp here was 32 degrees. The temps in AZ were in the 80s!

Chucky is better. His foot is finally healing and he can be without the e-collar(He was so depressed in that thing) He is happy he can bite my daughter again! The girls are fine and are not happy the e-collar is off because now he can chase them where ever they go! When he had the e-collar on they could get away from him. So Lately it's the indy 500 around here!

I LOVE the Indy 500! Being from Indiana that's a real duh! Anyways, glad the kits are good. KW, don't feel bad, when I left OR and came back to Chicago I almost cried-it was COLDER here. Part of the reason I think I feel so lousy.

No, I wouldn't rub in the 80 degree weather, Dorie. I was not acclimated to it and got hit with what may have been allergies while I was there--lots of sneezing, nose blowing and dry, red eyes. It wasn't pretty, but I did have fun. :)

Ah, so those of us out "east" here (lol) have spring on the calendar but not spring outside! My girls slap each other when they feel better too-sisterly love. 3kits, KW met me in Portland too when I was there for work!

I'm learning another new skill thanks to 2P--playing the ukulele! She signed us up for a free two hour workshop with a prominent ukulele performer who came to the AZ Aloha Festival. In addition to hula, 2p now has me hooked on ukulele. My husband is a co-conspirator. He bought me a ukulele while I was in AZ!
