I read in the cafe thread about you missing sitting outside without a kitty because Leela is an indoor only kitty.
I take Bobby out on a leash and tie it to my chair when I sit outside. He can't go too far, but he loves being outside, even if just to get fresh air, observe things and roll around in the dirt. (For some reason he rolls in the dirt and not the grass!)
Just thought maybe - if Leela isn't afraid of the big outdoors - you could do something like that.

I so wish my girls would do that. They used to live in a barn on a farm with cows. Now they act like the big world is gonna get them! I know they would enjoy just sitting outside and getting fresh air!

When we take Buddy out on the leash, the first place he wants to go in the back yard is the spot with the most dirt - he is not happy until he gets to roll around in the dirt!!!! Today he discovered there was an area in the front/side yard with dirt - John had to pick him up to get him to leave that spot.
