Received horrible news this afternoon. My sister's cat threw a blood clot and had a massive stroke. They ran tests on her and declared her brain dead. My sister had her for 13 years. My sister is truly devastated at the loss. Please say a prayer for her as she mourns her little Gabby. Thank you!

Thanks CBM, she said that she was at work and something kept telling her to go home. She did (she's in real estate so it was no biggie) and found her lying in the doorway of the bedroom. Her one side of her face was droopy and she tried to stand up and just fell over as she couldn't use the one side of her body. She had bit her tongue and it was just hanging out her mouth. As she drove with her and waited with her at the vet her condition just deteriorated to the point where she lost consciousness. I guess our furbabies are not that different from us. I am so glad I got to love on her for my birthday weekend and take lots of pix with my new digital camera while I was there. I am going to put together a little pix collage for my sister now. My family has lost two cats within one month. This is too sad. :(

i know what yor sister is going through. my kizzy was 13 when she died on dec 17th. my heart is still broken , i still dream of her. i am so sorry for the loss of gabby, i shed tears for her. gabby is at the rainbow bridge with kizzy, bastian, sammy ( i think there's 2 sammies) and all the other tdk kitty's who have passed on. molly i send you hugs and your sister.
when we pass on many kitties will be there to greet us. i will light a candle for gabby. hugs to all your family.

So sorry! I lost my second cat, my first meezer named Samson, from a blood clot---he was only 3 years old. My Missy had a stroke at 12 years old and there was nothing I could do but hold her till she was gone. ***wipes away tears for all past kitties***

I'm so sad this happened, it is a dreadful shock - happened to a friend of mine, he was away & neighbours were looking after his cat - had to tell him over the phone. {{{hugs}}} to both of you.
