I was doing some stuff in our bedroom and had completely forgotten that Tikka was sleeping right next to the bed where she could hardly be seen. Next thing I knew I was stepping on her! I don't think I actually stepped down on her body, but I stepped on her tail - but good!!! She was off like a shot (as soon as I got my foot off her tail, anyway), but fortunately she didn't go too far. I was able to apologise profusely, give her loads of reassuring strokes while at the same time satisying myself that I had not hurt her tail. But then I spoke up loudly to the painter and she was off again. She won't let me near her now... :-( I wonder how long it will take for her to forgive me?

Awww Tikka!! She was traumatized, she will need lots of treats and scritches to heal her wounded pride. ((Tikka))

Aww, poor Tikka. Is she normally a skittish kitty, Rubia? If she's not, I'll bet it won't take long at all for her to get over it. I accidently stepped on George the other day (he was right behind my legs while I was doing the dishes, and I didn't see him), but after one very indignant yowl he let me scritch his ears a few minutes later.
{{{Tikka and Rubia}}} You are not a bad meomy.

Oh Rubia.. I know the bad meomy feeling! This past weekend, when everything around me was breaking and money was flying out of my wallet... I pitched a fit. A 2-year-old, foot stomping, jumping up and down, fit. Scared my Chloe right out of the room. When I was able to calm down and call her back to me several minutes (and tears) later, she STILL had a bushy tail. She has since forgiven me, but it took her all day to go back into that room.
Tikka will forgive you !

Aaaw! It was an accident, and some tuna or treats do wonders for scared kitties!

Rubia by the next meal time she will probably have forgotten, I find that with Shadz. Her tummy over rules her brain. (Anyone would think she was a he with that philosophy.)

LOL! Yes - she has forgiven me! Tonight while she was waiting to be fed, she was winding in and out between my feet so much, I almost stepped on her again! I would have thought she might try to avoid my feet - at least for a little while! ;-)
