    My daughter decided to get sick last night, and share her germs with us....euuuuu.....she has to go back home today and work tonight....sure hope she can make it. Where's my Lysol???

  4. Hi everyone! JCat, I think we have the work thing in common. I like my job, but I have trouble motivating myself. When I get into it, I'm fine. Those other times...
    Leela and I are having a girls night in tonight, hubby is away. Who knows what kind of mischief we'll get into!

    Well, I really better had mosey off to bed -- I heard the hedgehog tinkling the cat plates on the verandah and I think the door's still open so I will be checking under the bed before I hop in...

  12. Hi to everyone who's come in since I so rudely disappeared (and to JCat, who I seem to have missed).

    Just popping in for a minute before I have to switch desks. George sends gentle headbonks to all who are not feeling well. He was a good boy last night, he sat nicely with me on the couch while we watched basketball (hubby is a basketball nut). Then this morning he was wandering around meowing like crazy; I couldn't figure out what was up.

    Back in a bit, I hope.

  15. .....yawns and slinks in the Cafe.....plops down in a big comfy chair, still in pjs.......playing golf yesturday caused a small "relapse" of my allergies, throat raw, eyes and sinuses infected.....Hubbs has demanded that I hibernate and rest today (he looks so cute in his nurses hat)...... so I just woke up!!!

  17. I just noticed the site Deb posted with the cat named Bumble; that made me smile because that's one of George's nicknames. Don't know why, but he's just my Bumble sometimes :)

  19. He's also recently become Doodlebug, again, no idea why. He's just such a goofy cat sometimes I think he needs a less stodgy name than George (apologies to anyone with loved ones named George).

    I think he's going to be really sad when we finally get our new bathroom floor laid down and the boxes of tiles are gone; he's been using them as a scratching post :)

    AV, I say definitely hibernate today. I may be doing that tomorrow; it's supposed to rain all day here.

  20. Sigh, just read another story of cat hoarding, this time in an upscale NJ neighborhood. 80 cats in a filthy house with a value of almost 1 million. They may condemn the house because of the conditions. It disturbs me too much to post the article, unless someone wants me to. There's a pic of a bunch of the cats looking at the camera. I wonder what they have been thru, and what is in store for them. *double-sigh*
    I'm going to give my Leela a big hug when I get home (I'll probably get my face scratched off in the process, but she's worth it), and say a prayer for the unfortunate kitties.

  27. Linda!!!!! Thank you SO much for the article on the Sleep-Tight Light. I had never heard of such a thing! Now I'm wondering if it would work for me. My problem isn't going to sleep, but it is staying asleep. You are so sweet to have sent that! And I love the card!

  28. Linda - Thank you for asking. Dad is doing well. Of course, he misses Mom, but he is golfing 2-3 times a week, and just finished a bowling league. Not bad for 83+ years old. :)
