Betty scampers over to the fridge and gets cheri a nice cold bottle of diet pepsi. She then scampers over to Cheri and hands it to Cheri. She then headbonks Cheri's legs and hangs around "waiting" to be petted.

Cheri not only pets Betty, but scratches her under her chin, rubs her ears and the sides of her face, lets Betty scrapes her teeth along Cheri's finger...
Cheri also massages Betty's spine...

Uh oh! Wilma catches site of this and runs over to Cheri and throws herself on the floor displaying her tummy for a tummy rub! Purrs are roaring out of her before Cheri even gets to rubbing her tummy!

Cheri takes the can of pounce treats and throws them into the air to see if the kitties will jump tonight like they did last night for milk and cream...yes, this works too...

... hi nightshifters!... just finished one of my favorite "leftover" dinners - cold spagetti (I know most people would say yuck!) but I love it!
...packing and trying to get things ready to move to the beach for a week... our timeshare is so great, and this is a beautiful time of year at the gulf beaches!..... I'm so excited because I'm taking paints & canvas so I can give it a try!... still in a quandry as to whether to "sneak" Abby with me.... I know I shouldn't but she is absolutely miserable without me, and she is as good as gold!.... I snuck her to Disney world when we were there a couple of weeks ago, and no one ever knew - not a trace that she'd been there!.... she only sleeps in her cat bed, or on her blanket whereeever I put it (i.e. on the couch or the corner of the bed)... and her litter box is covered and self contained, so it's hides perfectly in a closet.... time shares don't have housekeeping, so....... oh, I am so bad!!!

AV, take Abby! You know you want to and she would like to go to the beach! She might even take a stab at painting too!

Cheri, thanks for stopping by. Have a great nite, scritches to Velvet and Spice. AV, have a safe trip and please get some sun for me. We are expecting blizzard like conditions tomorrow, oh YAY! I took some Vicodin to try to sleep tonite and calm my foot. I am getting drowsy right now and think I am gonna move to my bed. G'nite all, I am gonna leave Betty and Wilma at the NS cafe' for now. If they get too tired, send them home thru the wormhole. If they want to have a sleepover with anyone, they have my blessing.

Hi, MC, AV and Cheri!
MC, the photos didn't turn out. :( The place I had the film developed at said they were too dark to scan. I may try to take them to a camera store to see if the pros can do any better, but I'm not holding out much hope. Sorry to disappoint!!

Good Evening MC, AV, Cheri, and KW.
KW I have new pictures of the latest meeting in TDK land. It was great to be in Dallas. I had wished others could have gathered too, but I had a great visit with Aristabobbi and Otis'Mommy.
Have to say the Tut exhibit isn't as good as the first time. They had a few more pieces from his tomb. This time they brought a lot to lay background of heritage. The exhibit was very beautiful, but there were pieces I had described in vivid detail to my daughter--I wanted her to see. She did--in a book, they were not in the exhibit.
-
We did get amazing pictures of the Picaso pieces--my daughters favorite artist. I loved the Jackson Pollack. In all we spent the whole day in a museum! Daughter went nuts in the 6th floor museum. She had no real idea of who Kennedy was--she loves him and has listened to his speeches. However the 7th floor sent her over the edge! She wants to be a reporter so badly--to write and she carries her camera everywhere. She found a book with all the Pulitzer Prize photos for journalism from the 1st-2003. She read it all in one night.
-
If you can e-mail the pics to me, SM, I'll put them on the TDK webshots site. :)
I'm jealous that you got to meet Bobbi and Otis' Mommy (is that SOM?).

My neighbor is Brian Lanker. He won a pulitzer prize for photography for a photo he took of his now wife, Lynda, as she gave birth to her first child. Have your daughter take a look for it. I think it was awarded to him in the 1970s. :)
Found it! http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/09/AR2008040904265.html

She read me the story. He had spent 6 months trying to find a woman willing to have their picture taken as they give birth. I am chuckling at the fact they ended up marrying. Has to be another story there! It happens to be one of her favorites. She also loved the story of a picture from Cambodia--she read the story, and I cried my eyes out. The little starving child--it hurt to see, but the hatred spewed on the photographer was worse. He wasn't allowed to touch the child because of disease. The hatred poured out to him was overwhelming--he committed suicide. It just broke my heart.

goodnight all !!!

KW it is the friend of AB that has come on a very few times. Not SOM. They are the most amazing ladies! They helped pull me through. I was lost in Dallas--the driving was a different experience. I thought after driving in Washington DC I could do anything--then there was Dallas!
-
She wants to go into journalism. She learned some tips from bobbi as she was with the paper in Dallas. She would probably do that little fan in awe scream--scares the heck out of people. Funny others are fawning over musicians and she wants to know if we can find out if Bob Jackson is still alive and in Colorado--seems that my kid is a true nerd! I am so very proud!
-
You have much to be proud of, SM! :)
I'm glad Bobbi and her friend were able to help you navigate in Dallas. I had a heck of a time driving in Phoenix on the last day of my AZ trip. I was using a GPS system that was several years out of date (I found out later)!

Hi KW, SM ! I love Picasso.... and Dali... we are so lucky to have Dali's museum here in Pinellas county (just across the bridge from me!)..... I saw the first Tut exhibit when it was here (been a few years back), sorry to hear this one wasn't as good SM!..... need to go sit in my comfy chair for a while, my relaspe of allergy coughing has made my lung lining issues come back, so I need to rest a little... I did hibernate all day, but (may) have worked a little too hard tonight doing stuff I probably shouldn't have!..... oh well, the beach will be restful..... I bought 2 new swim suits and found two great sun shield shirts that should keep the sun off me.... I'm very fair, and at 50 don't ever want any sun on my skin again!.... these shirts are really great, they're made out of a sheer material, so you can see the cute swim suits thru them, but they block out (most) of the harmful uv/uba rays.... that coupled with 50+ SPF smeared all over me, and sitting under an umbrella with hat and glasses, I should be good to go! Intend to re-read Dewey (in prep for our discussion 4/1) and give painting a try!..... I resigned myself long ago to be happy being very fair, with no tan - even if I exposed my skin to the sun, I would only burn, so I've worked hard to keep myself out of the sun! My skin doctor has always been impressed with my lack of sun damage for my age....oh did I mention that I was scared sh$#@$#$less at a young age because my Mom (a red head) has had over 50+ skin cancers cut out of her fact alone!!! Just call me casper!.......

I'm glad you are protecting your skin, AV. I do the same thing. I'm so fair-skinned that I go from "fish belly white" to sunburned very quickly. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium where my skin actually tans. lol
Have fun at the beach. I hope you find your desire to paint sticks with you.

Thanks KW, I'm really excited about "finding" the artist in me!
..... I've always been so fair, I really like being "fish belly white"!.... and these new sun shirt things are so cute, and best part - you can still see the cute swim suits under them, so it's a win win for me!

I haven't worn a swim suit in years. Now that I've lost a bunch of weight I think I'll look for one.
I'm going to call it a night. Enjoy your weekend, AV!
