I am in for the weekend and am wanting to "rent" some movies from ComCast Video on Demand this weekend. I am pretty out of touch with movies and what has been out recently so am taking suggestions. I did want to watch 'Bolt' but they didn't have that yet. The only thing that I DON'T watch are those silly horror movies. Pretty much watch anything else, I am easy to please. (Yes, I do love animated and kid's movies too!) Give me your best movie review. IF I am going to need to take off any time from work in the near future I will have some other ideas then too! Thanks for your help!

One of my faves is yonks old but a real tearjerker, Truly Madly Deeply, with Alan Rickman and Juliet Stevenson, directed by Antony Minghella before he did The English Patient.
And how could you go past the golden oldies, Brief Encounter with Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard, or His Girl Friday with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell? Then there's Bringing up Baby with Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant. Or Notorious with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman (can you tell I like Cary Grant?)
-
How about the quirky? Try "The Dinner Game" in the original French with subtitles. It's a gentle comedy. The girls and I love it and have seen it several times.

Holy Cow, I just looked at DM's list and there are only 11 movies on there that I HAVEN'T seen! Now I need to look them up. If you like Pride & Prejudice, you might also like Sense & Sensibility, another Jane Austen goodie. That one starred Emma Thompson and (pre-Titanic) Kate Winslet. A few other movies that I love are "Glory" and "The Elephant Man" (although both make me cry buckets of tears) and "The Best Years Of Our Lives" (which I often watch on Veteran's Day. It is an amazing movie about three men trying to return to civilian life after serving in WWII.)

Wow, you guys are awesome! Great recommendations! I am set for some time here! Of course you can keep the ideas coming! Kittymom, you are NOT showing your age!
