Hi Everybody and Welcome to the Sunday Night Shift! Thought I would get it started early as everyone is back to their "routine" tomorrow. Tonite we have the TV on so everyone can catch the new detective show on HBO. We have the tableclothes on and candles lit. We have snackies all around, pretzels, chips, nachos/cheese, chocolate fountain and assorted fruits, ice cream, and whatever you want from the grill. Lots of cold beverages flowing, alcoholic and non. I am having some ice cold diet pepsi and some fruit dipped in dark chocolate. The agency kits are looking for laps to fill and keep warm. A few need some extra loving as they have had a long Sunday napping! Hopefully you will stop in, if only for a quick visit! We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

1ST Lady's Detective Agency was on tonite on HBO. I know several of the members here were excited about it. I couldn't watch it as I don't have HBO. :(

HBO had to go----cut back when we had to switch from DishNetwork to Cox Cable (gggrrrrrr). Paying more for half what we used to get.

Hey everyone. I just got back from work. I bought a Swiffer sweeper thing and 'swept' and 'mopped' the floors when I got home. It's not the miracle worker I was hoping for, but it works alot better than my old broom. I didn't even have a mop!
I'm gonna work on the Hawaiian print tote bag after I find something to snack on. How is everyone?

Jym, did my fabric arrive?

I've had the Swiffer for years. It finally broke when I moved so I just bought a new one at Costco--they are great for picking up cat hair (we don't have a lot of THAT do we ????!).

MC, no fabric yet. The UPS sticker said they'd stop by again on Monday.
I had been using one of those yellow bristle brooms that shed their bristles as you sweep. I like the swiffer much better.
Anyone in CA? It's really windy up here in Sac. Got home to find out my power had been knocked out temporarily. It's really gusty out there. The trees are bending and my dish is shaking.

Cat hair??? None of that here with my two girls!!! My swiffer gets overloaded with cathair. I have mini-kittens under my bed! I am just glad I don't have to feed them! LOL Jym, we had a nasty snow storm blow thru here adn we were without power too!

Ok, gang, me and the girls are going to pretend that tomorrow is a work day! Oh wait, there is no pretending IT IS a workday! I am gonna shower, curl up with the girls and nod off. I am off to the neurologist tomorrow afternoon so I won't be on until late. I will be on after that to update you all on what I find out. Maybe I will be lucky and get to have some tests run too! Ok, maybe that is TOO MUCH to ask! Good nite, sleep tight, snuggles with your kits, and sweet dreams to all!

Hi, MS, MC, ShebasMom, KA and JB!
I finished watching the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency on HBO. Superb!! I don't know how many more episodes are going to be run, but I can't wait for the next one. The lead actress is wonderful as lady detective, Mma Precious Ramatswe. :)
JB, I'm excited to see how the Hawaiian bag turns out. :)
MC, I hope you can stay home until it's time to go to your doctor appointment. I think you qualify as being "sick!"
We love our Swiffer, ShebasMom. It does get pretty hairy!! :D

Hi, Everyone! One of our neighbors brought some new people by that have moved into a condo in our neighborhood. They are from Canada and are here in the sulfur mining business. One of them has lived in Chile and Argentina for years and years and he and I have been speaking Spanish most of the evening. After two bottles of wine I ended up inviting them to dinner this Thursday! ACK!!! But they are so interesting and hysterical. The older one has asked for Chateaubriand, which of course I have never made!!!!!
HELP!!!!!!

Hi everyone.I love my swifter sweeper also. Only thing is, I lock up all my kitties (I really only uses on the kitchen tile) as I've heard of potential hazard to pets. So I let the kitties out when the floor is dry, which is only a few minutes. Anyone know the final say on this potential issue?

Was he/she serious, WWM??? That's a spendy cut of meat, isn't it? Maybe he was teasing...

Hi, TL. I don't know the answer to that question, but I think it was discussed here quite a while ago. It would undoubtedly be a good idea to keep kitties off surfaces that have been cleaned by any chemical product .....especially since they lick their feet to clean them!

Invited for dinner..."asked for Chateaubrian"...Mmmmmm, expensive taste...and WWM, you are a better person than I. I usually only ask if there are specific dislikes or allergies for dinner guests, but decide the menu for myself!Lol

Shhhhhhhhh quietly I look into the NS room, kitties sprawled out everywhere sleeping with little snoring sounds heard. The lights are turned down to a low glow and the mucis is playing soft, soothing sounds to keep them asleep.

Shhhhhhhhhh, all's quiet on the kitty front. Reading back posts and making a cup of chamomile tea.

Hi MS! Can't believe I'm up this early (or late depending on perspective!).... daughter had to get up early to drive back to school, so .... I got up with her to make her a lunch and send her off!..... I love my swifter, and after the first "bottle" of cleaning stuff, I make my own now out of a little vinegar/water.... most of my house is hard wood, and there is nothing better than that for cleaning!..... I just washed the bottle out and put my own stuff in it..... and there's nothing harmful to the cats with water/vinegar!
-
AV, thats the way to do it....love cleaning with water/vinegar...

Hi AV, what sort of vineger? Is it just white vinegar and what is the mix of water to vinegar?
