I feel so awful bringing this up at this time. There are so many of you with problems so much worse than mine. I'm Praying for all those who need it In hopes that their health & wellbeing will be looked after & they will be fine.
Having said that,I just want you to know that what may seem trivial to some,is quite frightening & life-threatening to me.Most of you know of my toxic situation at home. It's escalated to a point I must plan (quietly) an escape. This may take several weeks as things are more complicated than they look. I have to search high & low for money to have my car fixed before I can even leave. I'm not a materialistic person (Thank God),so I'm looking to take as little as possible.
There is a very huge cloud on my shoulders. I ask you Please do not judge me from this. I'm here because I love animals. But,in the end when It's time for me to leave,I will be forced to leave my babies behind.They will have noone to care for them & sadly, will be taken by our town kill shelter. It rips me apart to just think about it,but, I have no other choice. I Pray God does not strike me dead for my actions. My actions to escape will have been for nothing then.Please,Please understand I'm not doing it because I want to.
I only ask that you all Pray for me. It will be all I have left to hang onto after all is done. I Love You All.

Feral, I'm so sorry for your situation--as someone who has been there, I understand that you must know you have to look out for your own safety and welfare. I know there are other people on here who know you much better than I, and may be able to offer advice or other help that I can't. But know that there are people on TDK who care about your welfare and wish you well in whatever it is you have to do.

Of course we will not judge you Susie. You have provided for your kits and their lives have been so much fuller with you. Their futures have always been tenious, as all feral cat colonies are. Please do not judge yourself harshly about being forced to leave your cats behind. God knows how hard you've fought to do the best you could for them and how much better their lives have been because of your efforts. I think there is a crown in heaven with your name on it. He is clearly telling you it is time to move on with your life which is infinitely precious to him.

Oh Susie, honey, we will not judge you--if one percent of the people in this world, who have more than you, did half as much, there would be no homeless, feral babies. I'm in total agreeance. You MUST take care of yourself, Susie. If anything happened to you then the cats would not be taken care of anyway. You already reached the biggest goal, you stopped the feral breeding. That is a huge accomplishment. It is time for you to take care of yourself.

I know your heart is breaking at the prospect of leaving your kit's behind to suffer the fate of the abandoned; however, as so many others have pointed out, you MUST protect yourself.
As others have pointed out, you have worked wonders with the group you have and there will be other kits to care for where ever you go. And go you must for your safety.
You weep that these kits will be taken to a kill shelter (kind of a oxymoron when you think about it) when you leave. But consider their fate and the fates of those who will seek you out later if you stay and are yourself are maimed or killed. The wild are wily and resilient, your babes know you and know you are in trouble. They will bless you for your care, miss you deeply and blend back into the wild to do you the honor of trying to survive and find another kind hand.

Susie, I'm so so sorry for you. You must put yourself first, you've stayed so long and put up with so much, mostly because of the kitties I suspect. Now it's time to look after you. I suspect God will not be striking you dead but more seeking to give you strength and comfort to do what you need; remember he is looking after you and he knows all the wonderful things you've done and the huge love you have for these animals. I'll keep praying for you, and I really hope you get away cleanly and things improve. ((hugs))

There may be unseen angels who can help with your babies... friends or neighbors who will preserve your location for your safety, but can help look after your feral kittykids.
But DO think of yourself first. Know we all love you and want you to do what's best for you.

Susie, Siobhan is right and hopefully there are unseen angels. But the important thing at this point is you. For so long I have hoped that you could find away to get out of that situation and make a new life for yourself. Certainly no one here is going to judge you. To the contrary, we have all been very worried for you for a long, long time. I hope that you have a good and safe plan.
