Try going to PetSmart or PetCo and see if they have the bitter apple spray for the cords, it should discourage her. Also might try to go online, one suggestion would be www.entirelypets.com and put in chewing for the search, they are really decently priced on most of their items. And welcome to TDK :)

Until you can get to the store for some bitter apple, you could try rubbing either Tabasco Sauce or lemon extract on the cords. Even rubbing a bar of soap over them might make them taste bad enough to keep her away. Ask your vet if she can have those chew treats that look like a pepperoni stick. They make them for dogs.

They sell enclosures for cords in electronics stores--this is for keeping them neat but they should work for you.

There is bitter apple, bitter orange, and I think bitter lemon. They are non-toxic, and even the smell deters my cats, although it doesn't bother me at all. My vet gave me a sample bottle to try, and then I found the full size stuff at Petsmart. (My kitten was attacking the silk floor plants and ripping them to shreds. Once I used the bitter apple, she wouldn't go near them again.)
You also might try wraping the cords with double stick tape, but that can get expensive, and will leave a residue on the cords when you finally remove it....
Generally this is a phase cats go thru, and yours should loose interest in the cords eventually.

I don't know if it would work on cords but around Christmas our kittens were fascinated with the tree and climbed it. There was a recommendation on here to put orange peels around the tree. I used orange essential oil. It smelled wonderful to me but apparently awful to the cats. They left it totally alone after that.

We investigated those tubes they sell to contain multiple wires once. They were expensive and I didn't like the way they looked. My husband ended up using PCV pipe. He cut a slit in it lengthwise, painted it to match the wall and screwed it into the wall. The slit is on the lower side so it doesn't show, the pipe blends in with the wall, and the cords go inside it. He's a clever man; that's why I love him so.

Weekends are slow here. If you don't get any responses then on Monday "bump" this message up.
Some cats are chewers their whole lives, some just chew as kittens. The important thing is to keep them from chewing things that can hurt them (electric cords, string or yarn they can swallow) and find them something acceptable to chew. It takes some trial and error, but stick to it and you'll eventually find something safe that she likes and that you are comfortable with.

Since she's past teething age it sounds like she will be a chewer for the long haul---each cat has it's own quirks.

Oh yes, lemon or orange peel works wonder! I don't know why but cat hates the scent of citrus fruits. That's what I do initially when I have to teach my kitty not to chew chords. Just laid down some fresh peels nearby and they won't go near it with a six feet pole! Good luck with that!
