You should be fine, Pika! I had to have the whole shooting match and my appendix out at the same time and had no problems. But I know it's spooky when it's yourself on the receiving end, so lots of prayers and white light to surround you, too.

Hi Pika, I will remember you in my prayers. I had the same fear when I had a hysterectomy and that was 7 years ago. Last summer I was too sick to be afraid when my gall bladder had to come out but I do remember asking the anesthiolgist if he knew what beautiful eyes he had. I did embarrass him, I think but he was cute.

I hope you mend quickly from your surgery and that it fixes you up. It is amazing how much less invasive abdominal surgeries can be these days. My 81 year old father is recent proof of that! :)

Prayers are on the way. My mom was 40 when I was born and that was in 1948---they have so many older women having babies it's not so dangerous anymore with the new technology.

Hi All - Thanks so much for your prayers, well wishes and support, ((((TDK FAMILY)))
I arrived home about half an hour ago, 2.50pm UK time. The op went really well, the cyst on my ovary had already doubled in size since the scan a month ago so very pleased to have had the op so soon. There were patches of endometriotic tissue reformed again within the pelvis, so he sucessfully removed those and did a treatment called diathermy which stops the sticky tissue reforming. I had a bit of a battle with my blood pressure - it tends to be low anyway, but was REALLY low, 78 over 48, so they had to keep me in on a drip overnight to try and bring it up.
Actually told the anesthetist he was HOT as i was going under, and it was true, he was!! LOL!!! Must be an anesthetist requirement to be hot!! -
