  1. I just saw that there is a "situation" going on in one of the immigration offices in Binghamton. I think you are a government worker but I'm hoping you don't work anywhere near there.

  5. I just tried to call Cheri at work and someone else answered the phone and said that she was way from her desk. Cheri works for the State of NY, NOT immigration. Cheri is an Architect who designs buildings, bridges and the like. Thank God!! I'm sure she will check in when she can.

  6. Oh Deb, thanks for letting me know, because I wasn't sure what she did either - just that she works in/near Binghamton.. You're not safe anywhere these days.

  7. Thank you, Deb! I knew she was involved in government work but I couldn't remember in what capacity. The new on this is awful, apparently there were college students there too.

  8. Thanks for the info., Deb. I knew Binghamton rang a bell, but I just couldn't figure out why it kept bugging me. Hopefully, all of Cheri's friends/family are also safe. Prayers to all of the families involved---I'm sure we'll be reading more and more of these horrific stories as people do crazy things when times get tough. Doesn't justify it (by any means) but people are just doing such stupid things!

  15. Feel like an ostrich in the sand! I didn't even know anything about this until I read this thread. I remember Cheri is an architect. What a horrid thing to have happen! Prayer to the family--and Cheri thank God you were not in that building.
