  1. How are Garbo and Hepburn doing? Are they less skittish by now? Are there any new pictures?

  2. No new picture yet. They are a little less skittish and allow themselves to be seen much more often. However they are still very nocturnal and disappear goodness knows where during the day. I have searched the house for them, but I can't find them.

They come out at about 6.00pm and start demanding food. They will submit to stroking, in return for treats, and Garbo has twice jumped onto my lap for brief stops. Hepburn looks at my lap but has not risked it yet. She has however jumped onto my bed, but jumped quickly off again when she realised I was in it!

At about 3.00 am they then start playing "we are a herd of marauding wildebeest". So far they have broken 2 vases, 1 plant pot and one glass. They have also stripped everything off the dining-room table once (no breakages) and have knocked over two very large plants, spilling earth all over the carpet, but not breaking anything other than bits of plant.

In other words - they're doing just fine, little house-wreckers that they are!

  3. Oh wow - they seem to be having all sorts of fu at night!! Glad they're slowly adapting. *scritches to Hepburn and Garbo*

  4. Garbo seems to be the boss. She sometimes "herds" Hepburn out of the way or into the direction she wants her to go. She just walks across in front of her and nudges her with her shoulder until Hepburn moves the right way.

  5. Awwwww! That's interesting, though - wasn't she the one who was most timid in the beginning?
I'm glad she's discovered your lap - my guys still don't have any desire to be lap cats :(

  6. I was wondering about your kitts, too! Sounds like they are rambunctious and elusive at times :) They have you well trained, I'm sure, PM :))

  7. PM they sound wonderful!! A pair of interior decoraters just like Deuter! Garbo and Hepburn sure make the house a home, full of love and life!

  8. What is it about cats? They love to rearrange the furnite and "get rid of" the things that aren't pleasing to them? lol Glad the kits are settling in more. I am sure they are quite busy even when you don't see them, I know mine are, they leave little "clues" (toys, spilt books etc) all over the house!

  9. Garbo and Hepburn sound quite comfortable in their domain. They like having the run of the house! :)

  10. Never give up PM and GD. Thierry Henry, now at the age of 7 is starting to want to be held more and more. This morning we both had to give him hugs and hold him before he was ready to go about his day.

  11. Ohhh, KYKat, that gives me hope. I'm going to keep hugging my boys in the meantime, whether they like it or not :)

  12. Glad to see the update on Garbo & Hepburn...... funny little girls!....mine "stealth" around much more at night, and pretty much sleep their days away!....

Posted 11 months ago by AV #

  13. I wish mine would "stealth". They galumph up and down the stairs like a platoon of rampaging elephants at about 3.00 am that's no fun, and then just as you're dropping off to sleep again something, somewhere go CRASH.......

  16. And you love them all the more for it! Cats DO make a house a HOME!
