  1. Yikes - it's less than two weeks until we come to Ft. Lauderdale!!!! So I was wondering who all might be able to meet up for lunch on Saturday, April 18? I can't wait to see everyone! Especially GD, who may be wearing a new belt. Hopefully the belt will be holding up some article of clothing, but I'm not too clear on that part yet.

    It would be good if we set a definite time and place, don't you think? Leaving the place up to you all! Well, actually I'll leave the time up to you all, as well.

    How exciting!!!!!!!

  5. I would love to be there but will be there in spirit!! Maybe one day you will come to Cleveland too..of course..who would want to come to Cleveland.... I think we would have to come to Midland :)

    Do you want to go with the restaurant I found close to your hotel on the water? I can give them a call and see if I can make a reservation. Or does anyone have a different idea?
    I think we should leave the timing up to SOM and SOD since they're going to be driving quite a while before getting there.
    I really hope Marsha can make it, too, despite being in the middle of a move!
    Ayone else? Terri and John? AV? Dee? Ouize?

  9. Don't say that about Cleveland, CCM! Cleveland is a great city. The art museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Metallica just entered today!), die-hard sports fans supporting their teams, fantastic old neighborhoods and two of the best chefs in the country; Michael Symon and Michael Ruhlman. Anthony Bourdain even shot one of his shows for the Travel Channel in Cleveland...he and Michael Ruhlman toured the city (great foodie town).

  10. I'm thinking that I can possibly come...I've seen some cheap flights from the ATL to Lauderdale...also, have a good friend there that I could see and stay with. I usually work Saturdays but that Saturday is open right now.

    GD, the restaurant that you found is fine with us. The setting looks great! It doesn't matter to us what time, so we will wait to see what SOM thinks.

  15. Oh Spanx, I love Spanx, especially when Wayne dresses up and...oh wait..we are talking about clothing items huh??? lol

    I saw that episode Dee of Anthony Bourdain. I like Michael Symon but can't afford to eat in his restaurants. The art museum is nice, but I hate, and I mean hate the rock hall. it is one of the most boring places IMHO. Been there a few times and will never go again.

  20. GD, how far is the restaurant from your place? We are about 3 hrs from you.
    I think that restaurant would be fine, the one you mapped out, etc. WWM, do you arrive in Fla on Fri or Sat????

  23. SOM, I did a mapQuest and it says it takes 31 minutes from my hous. Are you taking the Turnpike or 95 down? I'm closer to the Turnpike, but the restaurant will be closer to 95. If I meet you somewhere around 95, it should take 25 minutes tops to get there.

  28. Let's make it the exit at Glades Rd. There's a shopping center there where we can meet and I can leave my car. I'll find out the number of the exit to make it easier for you.
