lydia is so happy to meet wishes , she meowed in a tiny shy voice " isn't this party wonderful. look at the balloons and the eatser eggs" " oh how i love to hunt easter eggs" she runs over to say hi to blackbeard and introduce him to other kitties. Lydia asks aunt emma " is there going to be dancing?" i love to dance , can we do the "bunny Hop?" she grabs wishes paws and says lets get dome kits to do the bunny hop !!
lydia is so excited to see all her friends again and to see ruggles and thor and all her kit friends.

Windi is zipping around trying to collect eggs to put into her basket. But each time that she gets ready to pounce, another kitty (obviously much braver) seems to beat her to the pounce (I wonder if any of those kitties are named ClydeFrog?). Suddenly Windi has a flash of an idea. She walks over to Hepburn and Garbo and shyly introduces herself. Then she begins telling them how she hasn't collected any eggs and holds out her empty basket. She tells her new friends that she has a plan. When her sister sets her basket down, the three of them can go and "borrow" Willow's eggs! Windi laughs into her paw......

Windi looks over at Wishes and tells Lydia that he is really cute! She gives Lydia a Peep and suggests that Lydia take it over and give to Wishes.

The zoo crew, dreadfully late (as usuall, bad meowmy!) woosh in. Pricilla rushes to Blackbeard. Honey, I have missed you! It has been far too long! Sammie, Amy, Megan, and Rusty spot the birthday boy. Happy Birthday Ruggles! We brought you a pretty bird in a cage from our yard! Just remember, the bird is for singing not eating! :)

Wishes walks over to Lydia, blushing furiously.
"Um, would you like to look for some Easter eggs?" he says. "I could help!"
Lydia takes Wishes' arm and they proceed to examine the base of the large tree in the back yard.
"There's one!" Wishes places it very carefully in Lydia's basket, as Cuddles weaves past them.
Ruggles grabs one large mint-green egg just for his Willow, and Rotley holds two small yellow flowered eggs for Windi. "I hope this keeps the larceny to a reasonable level," laughs Rotley.

.....Cuddles has forgone picking up easter eggs, and instead has filled her basket with peeps, candied jelly beans and chocolate bunnies.... she wobbles around happily munching........she approaches her sister, and peaks inside Abby's basket...... you silly little girl Cuddles says "why Abby, you've only collected PINK eggs, you don't have any other color in your basket!".....
...Abby *blushes*...."but that's my favorite color"......

Willow carefully places the mint green egg that Ruggles has given her in the very center of her basket. Then, being the little artistic kitty that she is, she surrounds it with smaller eggs of every pastel color, and small bunches of baby's breath flowers. She thinks that it looks perfect and tells Ruggles that she will never, ever eat that egg, but will save it as a reminder of a special day.
Windi looks in amazement at the two beautiful eggs that Rotley has given her. They are egg-quisite! (Windi thinks Rotley will be impressed if she tries out new words). She gives Rotley a soft kiss on the ear to thank him and then runs off to show off her beautiful yellow eggs to her sister. Of course, Windi is thinking that her sister doesn't have anything nearly so special in her basket.

"Oh, meowmy, where have you been?" cries Grommet. "Today is Ruggles Purrday, and we are SOOOOOO late for his party!" Grommet and Mac have been pacing by the computer, waiting for permission to whoosh thru the wormhole to the party. Grommet is wearing her white ruffled Easter pinafore with the pastel embroidered bunnies, flowers, and Easter eggs. Mac is wearing his cream linen slacks, pink sportcoat, and mint green shirt, open at the collar; he's very upset with the delay. They have a handsome pair of tan suede Western boot style skates and a large box of 'nip flavored chocolate Easter eggs for Ruggles ~ they are wrapped in birthday paper decorated with skating kitties and tied with gobs of curling ribbon. They also have a bouquet of Easter lillies for Auntie Emma, and a tray of 'nip scented crab cakes for every kit at the party. "Hurry, Meowmy, we're soooo late," they are urging Meowmy to open the wormhole.... Whoosh! They slide into Emma's and start greeting the kits.
Grommet finds Emma, "These flowers are for you. Thank you so much for inviting us. We have some 'nip crab cakes for all our friends. I'll just put them on the table with the rest of the refreshments. Do you know where Ruggles is? We have some gifts for him."
Mac finds some of the boys and starts chatting. Grommie runs up to Willow and gives her a little headbonk~ "I'm so glad you're here; how have you been? My meowmy told me that your purrents are going on a little vacation. I hope you and Windi will be OK while they're gone. I see there are some new girls here today, too. Will you introduce us??"

MEOWMY! We are soooooooooooooo late, there is a TDK party today for RUGGLES! They are already in their Easter dresses, Wilma in pink, Betty in purple! They both have their Easter bonnets on and their Easter baskets on their paws! They each have a catnip plant with toys to stuff with 'nip ready for Ruggles. Tuna on toast for the party. They squirm and worry all their friends will already be gone when they get there! They open the wormhhole and "whoosh" they are gone!

Willow takes Mac and Grommie by the paws and leads them over to meet Hepburn and Garbo. Windi whispers to Mac and Grommie, "Hepburn and Garbo are SO nice. But they have funny accents. I don't even think that they are from Texas!!!". Willow asks Mac and Grommie if they have met Lydia and Wishes, who are still over in the tree.

Velvet and Spice knock on the door. Ruggles opens the door. "Hi Ladies, good to see you !!!" Spice hands Ruggles a catnip plant in a basket tied with a purple ribbon. "It is a catnip plant, it will grow and grow if you do not eat it all..."
Velvet and Spice are glad they came. It is good to see a lot of friends. They are making up for all the time they spent at Debbie's. Debbie's was OK, they just didn't get to socialize too much with kitties other than Debbie's...

Betty and Wilma are working the room! They are so excited to meet the birthday boy! He looks so handsome in his suit! Whoo hoo! Betty sure hopes she might get a dance with him. Wilma scampers over to Mac and Grommie, headbonking each other wildly. They all go and get 'nip sodas and run off to see Windi and Willow. Oh, how they have missed their friends, if MEOWMY could only have come home sooner! Windi and Willow have some new friends who sure are pretty. W and W introduce them to the girls from the UK, Garbo and Hepburn. They are such pretty and polite girls! They all headbonk and start to chat. Sure hope we do the bunny hop again, we missed the first one.
Wonder when the Easter Egg hunt will be? WAIT, is that, could it be? VELVET AND SPICE?!?!?!? OOH, we must go introduce ourselves. Meowma told us all about them going home to their meowmy and we must get to know the girls. Off they go to meet Velvet and Spice.....Posted 3 years ago by mollycat71 #

Mac has spotted Velvet ~ it has been soooo long ~ she's just as beautiful as he remembered ~ he's thinking wistfully about their wonderful times at the skating rink last summer. He brushes his whiskers with his front paws, straightens his sport coat and strolls over..... "Velvet you're looking as lovely as ever; it's been quite a while. I'm so glad you and Spice could make it to Ruggles' purrday party," he purrs as he gently leans down to give her a kitty kiss and a little headbonk......
*Spring is here... and kitty romance is in the air all over Auntie Emma's house*
