Ruggles is Five Years Old Today!

wishes and lydia are sitting down talking about the easter egg hunt ,wishes says " wasn't that so much fun?" " ruggles sure knows how to have a party". wishes takes hold of lyda's paw and says " you sure look nice lydia, lavender goes so pretty with your fur" lydia gets so nervous she drops her basket of eggs and gulped. she said " wishes thank mew for the nice compliament, meowmy picked out the dress " she was very shy and tried to see some more friends to change the subject, she said ooh look betty and wilma !! wonder how thei meowmy is? lydia saw betty and wilma talking to velvet and spice and said " let's go say hi !! lydia said any more dancing? lydia said it is so good to see the whole crowd here. aunt emma looks so pretty today, she is so happy to see ruggles enjoying himself on his special day.

LYDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MEOW, MEOW, MEOW! So good to see mew! Betty and Wilma headbonk and purr with Lydia. "No, meowmy is quite sick today. She didn't look good, said her tummy was queasy. She said something about knives thru her eyeballs but we didn't understand that. She called the doctor today and they said to take her meds and they would see her Thursday" Oooh, Lydia looks so pretty. They all join paws and walk up to the table for snacks! YUM Betty asks Lydia if she noticed how handsome the birthday boy is (secretly she was hoping NOT as she wants to dance with him at least once)

lydia says " meowmy will want to hear all the details" she will be be upset to hear your meowmy feels horrible. lydia wasn't sure what "knives in the eyes were, but she had feeling that it wasn't comfertable. she was happy to see betty and wilma, she had a feeling betty had a crush on ruggles . lydia said " oh ruggles looks nice , he would probably love to dance with you betty" lydia went onto say " i danced and went on the easter egg hunt with wishes!! he is just the "cats Pajamas" , and i have a major crush on him . lydia giggled and put her paw over her mouth, to hide her shyness.
betty , wilma and lydia went over to windi and willow who were having a drink of nip punch and talking to velvet and spice..

oh I love our friends! they are the best and lydia is even nicer in person! we need to have kitty parties all the time! plus we don't get to see all the girls and boys that often! so nice to have a birthday/spring/easter party for ruggles! nip punch! watch out, wilma might try to drink it all! LOL

Well, as usual, CJ and Misty are the stragglers. Their meowmy gets home so late! Misty met me at the door with one blue paw on her wide, wide hip, and one back paw thumping the kitchen floor.
"Well....did you forget we need help up and into the wormhole, Miss Lisa? You think I can get my diva butt up there all by myself? And I suppose you expect me to dress the little squirmy twerp all by myself, too. Hrmmmmmph!!!!"
And off she stalks to my (her) spot on the couch. I just *stay* in trouble.
No, I didn't forget. Happy Birthday, Beautiful Boy! Your Aunt Lisa and The Girls In Austin love you dearly. Sending dozens of sandpaper smooches and a whole bunch of the plain old human kind, too.

.... Abby and Cuddles Momma calls them back thru the wormhole.... Cuddles has a basket full of candy, and Abby has only pink eggs..... "did you have a good time girls, and were you polite?.... Momma helps them into their respective *choco kitty and hello kitty pjs* and tucks them into their little beds with blankies!.....Momma kisses each, and sends a "thankyou and happy birthday note thru the wormhole to Ruggles!".....

Velvet and Spice find Ruggles, wishes him Happy Birthday again, and tells him that it is nearly their Meowmie's Cheri's bedtime. They must be there to tuck her in. And of course they thank him for the wonderful party !!! before going out the door, Velvet finds Mac and whispurrs some sweet things in his ear. he laughs, and then rubs velvet's face with his own. They both have promised to try and meet soon again, and maybe with a lot fewer kitties...And then it's out the door to the wormhole and home...

Well, Mac is now soooo full of himself because he's reconnected with his special Velvet...
Grommet and Mac find Ruggles and wish him a verrrry happy purrday... "We've had such a good time, thank you for everything! You and Rotley sure know how to throw a purrrfect party!"
Grommet runs up to Emma, "Thank you for inviting us, we've had just the best time, and our Meowma asked us to thank you for everything, too."
Grommie and Mac run around giving headbonks and purrs to all their kitty friends, "bye, everyone, we have to get back home to our Meowma now. We had a wonderful time, and we can't wait to see y'all again!"
*Ewww ~ now they're speaking Texan, and they've only been here 4 years*

Willow and Windi send a text message to mama through the cat hole. They are going to stay the night in Pennsylvania with Emma, Ruggles and Rotley. The girls suspected that they might stay and so had packed their flannel night gowns and slippers in their back packs. Windi has armed herself with new bedtime stories to share with Rotley and Ruggles. Willow, ever mindful of her fur, has packed tiny little pink foam rollers to curl the fur between her ears. The girls do their nightly grooming rituals, and then settle down to share kitty stories of the days past and Kitties of the Night tales.

And thanks so much for coming to Ruggles' birthday party!
The studio is filled with nodding little heads and drowsy purrs as the kits who stayed over read stories to each other by the light of the night lamp, and they are all drifting off to sleep. They dream of peeps and bunny hops and eggs hiding in the grass. Beside each kit is a basket of treats to take home. Emma tucked each one into his or her favorite company cuddlebed with a hug and a kiss.
The wind outside is rising a bit, and a cold breeze blows through the budding branches. All is quiet and lovely. The stars are out now, and the moon rises like a white balloon over the tree line.
*Emma raises a flute of sangria to all the meowmies and catpas and kits who share such good times on TDK, and blows a kiss to all, smiling happily as she walks down the hall to bed.*

Emma, Betty and Wilma stayed over. Just make sure they don't overstay their welcome. Send them home when you need them to leave. I am afraid they were having too good a time and when they heard WWM's girls were staying, they decided to as well. Thanks for such an outstanding kitty party!

You're welcome, honey. The girls were a delight, and the lads had a wonderful time making breakfast for everyone. Windi and Willow and Betty and Wilma and my two stayed up late telling stories. The giggles that came out of the studio were incredible!
The kits played with Shelley's cat dancers this morning, and now they are ready to go home. I am sending all the kits through the cat hole now, with their wicker baskets and Easter treats, and a packet of Earl Grey tea for the meowmies of our little guests.
