  1. Hello, all, thought I would start the night shift and let you know how the new job is. It is just fine! I have done 2 days now, and doing kits, but being appreciated for what I have done. Purchasing agent and Chuck in the warehouse today thanked me for a good job. A man I met yesterday who has been there for 2 weeks called out for personal reasons, was due to show up at lunch, didn't show up or call, and I took over some of the jobs to see what was going on, so I think that is what I was congratulated on. The bennies are very good, the people are very nice. I think I may have found my new home. Trying to get adjusted to the new regiment is a bit tough. I don't have to be in til 8:30, so I still get to see Dakoda in the morning. I thank God for that. I miss her so much. Kay seems to be getting her into a routine now that I am gone, and thank God for that too! All is well, just wanted to let you know.

  2. Evening Lynn, and so glad that the job seems to be a good fit for both you and the employer. I am sure that both Kay and Dakoda appreciate that you get to see the little one in the morning before you leave. Have a great evening, and enjoy the kits and family.

  15. Lynn, Blue Key is the most prestigious honor/leadership society that one can obtain , and Son just got invited to join.... I am so proud of him, there are many famous politicions, business leaders and such that are in this fraternity. He has worked so hard for this, and I am so glad to see his dreams come to fruition.....

  17. Mama Lynn !!! It's good to hear from you. Things are going well at work for me. I have quite an interesting challenge. For 12-15 years, I've been doing 2D computer aided design and drafting, now i"m learn 3D !!! Quite advanced. and I'm practising my skills on drawing real scale actual bridges. I'm in the Bridge Structures unit now. I've got my own apartment in Binghamton, the kitties are finally back with me. it will be a while before I'm fully unpacked and settled, but I am looking forward to it. And gardening season is just around the corner !!! My bedtime is in 5 minutes so I'm rushing into the Night Shift cafe, saying hello to everyone, and running back home !!! Good night all !!!

  18. ... and by the way, Son is a MAJOR animal lover... he volunteers in an exotic rescue in Gainesville where he goes to college, and has been licensed to foster/own exotic pets... currently he is fostering a baby skunk, a chinchilla, a hedgehog, and many others....when he becomes President someday, well, we might just have a "first skunk"... LOL

  19. Kw, I know you will appreciate this! The place I work for has a strict dress code. Button down shirts, no logos, t shirts are ok for me in the warehouse but nothing on them. So my Tye dye will be worn on weekends or nights! No, not my ty dyes!!!!! Ok, now, I have to go out and bye plain t shirts for the summer, no shorts either. My summer wardrobe is now down to nothing! I like camo, ty dye, and have no offensive shirts, but now I will be lucky to see my tees once this summer! I understand the company, just never thought it would be like this. Guess this is a conservative company!! I understand though, if I wear a tye dye so to speak, someone in the office will want to know why they can't. So off to the store this weekend to be properly dressed, but the weekends will be all about me!!!!!!!!! Camo and tye dye, on alternate days!!

  22. Cheri, good to see you as well, dear lady. We were so worried about you during the difficult time in your town. We are glad you are ok. I am glad things are well with you and hope you get settled in with your kittys in your new place. I wish you much luck in your garden. I keep trying to plant veggies, the deer eat mine and I get nowhere!! Good to see you, and sorry I couldn't meet up with you when you came to PA, know that I was there in spirit. Have a restful night. See you soon. Stay well.

  23. "Mama Lynn hugs Cheri tight, kisses her gently on the cheek, tucks her into bed beneath a warm comforter, hands her a glass of water, calls the kittys to the bed" As the kittys and Cheri start to slowly relax, Mama Lynn watches from the doorway and goes home to her family, knowing that Cheri and her babies will sleep the night away in peaceful slumber. Goodnight my friend. (hugs to you and the kittys) Sleep well dear girl.
