Hi Jcat, I quite understand your feeling of addiction, seem to have the same thing going on here. Having said that I must also head off to bed as I'm yawning so much I can barely see the screen through my bleary eyes. Time I grabbed Shadz and we both head up to bed, she can keep me warm.

Hello, everyone. I'm glad it's Friday. At work today, two of our main tax members are treating everyone to lunch! We have a menu circulating and I will order it online for delivery at noon. We're winding down from tax time although there's always the little flurry of people who bring their taxes in at the last minute and we try hard to get them done on time. (Then we'll have all the extentions to do for those that don't.)

Ladykat you said you're at work. In NZ Good Friday is a public holiday and all shops have to shut also, with a few exceptions. There are no adverts on TV either, wonderful. Hope you enjoy your lunch.

It is considered a holiday here too but more of a family one and not a recognized public one, therefore the shops and businesses are all open as usual.

MS, several businesses do close for today, but a lot more stay open anymore. Because we deal with taxes that are due on April 15th, we need to work on Good Friday. We do, however, get a "tax holiday" to take whenever we wish during the rest of the year. So we get our day off, just not today.

.....Hubbs and I just took a bike ride down Bayshore.... problem was, my bike gears got stuck in first (the lowest gear), so the whole trip, I looked like the wicked witch from the Wizzard of Oz.... peddling a million times more than Hubbs..... wore me out!...... I made Hubbs switch bikes on the way back! hehehe

I've just got back from the 3 hour devotion for Good Friday. It was a lovely service and we sang well. We even reduced the choirmaster to tears, and no it wasn't because we were off key ;-).
Now I need food and drink having fasted before the service. I'll have a large slice of soft white bread (well buttered with salted butter) and a large piece of extra strong cheddar cheese with some Branston Original pickle please.
