I'm working on setting my tables for Easter.... what do you think?

They look really good AV! How do you manage to keep the monsters off the table? If I did anything like that a) it wouldn't look half as good, and b) it would be trashed in minutes!

Dollar stores are a wonderful thing!...... MCW, neither of my cats has ever gotten on a table or counter, nor most of my furniture..... I train them early where it's ok to be, and where it's not...... the first time I find them even thinking about jumping up on something, I clap my hands and say firmly NO, NO!... all my cats have learned quickly what that means......I do not believe in ever hitting, spanking, or anything physical, but a firm NO NO! works really well..... I then also train them to get on certain places, using positive reinforcement.... Both Cuddles and Abby have their own cat beds, but they also each have a blanket - Abby's stays at the end of my bed, and Cuddles is on daughters bed.... by putting them on the blanket, and giving them pets and "good girl" - they learned to only get on the blanket.....really keeps the cat hair off the bedding, and the blankets are easily washable. It also helps when we travel, I just pull out their blanket, and they feel right at home!

Very quiet at the gym today. EBL even told me if noone was here at 6 or 7 that I could leave early. We didn't tell the gym-goers in advance, so she said just to put a sign on the door. I usually work til 8 on Firdays. Now I'm debating whether to go home early or not - two hours of pay is at stake. I may just work out myself for a while if it's empty and get paid while I do it :)
I spoke to someone last night about a product he wanted to order and he wanted to get a discount. I told him I'm not in fulfillment or customer service but front desk at the gym, but I would try to help him out since it was 7:45pm and they were closed. I left a message to the girls in fulfillment to apply a discount if one was warrented. Today when I got in, EBL showed me a nasty email the guy had written about our customer service and mentioned speaking to me and that I was no help. Arrrrrgh! I usually get so many compliments on how I help people on the phone :(
EBL was 100% behind me and sent the guy an email back telling him we weren't interested in his business and refunded the money for the product. She told me if he calls tonight, to tell him someone will get back to him and hang up. He did just call and I told him fulfillment was closed for Good Friday and that all I could do was transfer him to their voicemail. He was none too happy! -
I'm glad EBL stuck up for you. Some people are just idiots.

I know, it really upset me, though. I was trying to be nice and help the guy out which is not even my job!
No word about us closing shop. I hear EBL telling someone that next week is Big Boss' last week, but I'm not sure if it's because he's going to work at this other place, or if he's travelling out of the country again for seminars. -
This gym has been bad news for you from day 1 - it's horrible working under that kind of uncertainty. Are you still keeping your eyes open for anything else?

I certainly am now! I just asked another trainer (asked one yesterday who didn't know) if he had heard anything. He had no clue, and he works pretty closely with BB with training the fighters. He's meeting with BB any minute and I told him not to mention anything specific, but he's wondering now, too.

MCW, I agree about AV's table. It's very pretty, and while I have "trained" my group not to get on the table, the minute you're back is turned, up they go! Except Spot...too hefty ;)
GD! someone was making reference to EB yesterday and while they meant Easter Bunny, my first thought was your references to Evil Boss!

Hi Linda! Any less manic at work today? I spent the morning in bed, cold really came on and I felt rough. Did some work this pm though, not as much as I wanted 'cos something isn't working on the website properly.
