  2. Good Morning and Happy Easter. I have Easter Brunch at church and then a BIG family dinner at my sister's this afternoon. I have been baking--blueberry muffins for the brunch and I tried my hand at lower fat baking in baking a couple of batches of cupcakes. I used the recipes in a vegan book for a guide. The pineapple ones are really good but small and the vanilla ones are passable. I saw on the night shift thread about baptisms yesterday so I will add that I have one today. My 85 year old aunt has decided to be baptised today. For her it is an expression of faith.

  9. I am quite restrained actually - now I know this doesn't really *compute* (as MCW put it to me last week!!!) to most people BUT This is the first Chocolate I have had since Christmas!!! I am not really a choc fan like that!

  11. Oh dear I can barely move. My legs are just swollen beyond all imagination. Those ankles resemble an elephants and they are attached, I think, to my feet. Time to prop them up. We had to leave the church spotless. I will have to go back later to check the laundry. In the meantime I am home with my feet up.

  16. It's 9.45 pm now. I've finally eaten my dinner, had a glass of wine and can relax. All the services went really well today and we won the rugby 32-13 so we are throught to the semi-final - Yay!

  17. I have just caught each of the cats in turn, brushed them (lots of fur for MC's hat) and then put their collars and magnets on. At the moment they are trying to get them off again, walking around on their hind legs attcking the collars with their front paws. They'll get used to them quite quickly, but right now they hate me!

    They have to have the collars and magnets to activate the cat flap.

  18. Hope everyone had a nice Easter. No chocolate for me but a happier stomach and weight loss is worth it :)
    I spent the whole afternoon hanging out with XBF, just the two of us - having lunch and watching the baseball game on tv. I had no plans for today, so it was nice to have some company.

    Bobby and I just went out to the backyard and ended up taking a walk along the sidewalk a bit. He did really well and didn't freak when a couple of cars came slowly by.
    Now they're fed and eagerly awaiting their promised Easter nip feast. I'm having gummi bears :)
