  1. It's midnight here in teh UK, so it's definitely time for the night shift. I have Easter goodies for all, wine, champagne, fruit juices, tea and coffee, water, squash and any combination. I also have cheese (of course) because as everyone knows I LIKE CHEESE.

  3. Hi all! Hope your Easter was pleasant. Mine was ok, slept most of the day away. I took pain meds and was pretty nauseated most of the day when I wasn't sleeping. Couldn't keep much food down so I was running to the bathroom for one end or the other. Betty and Wilma send purrs and headbonks and wish you all a Blessed Easter.

  4. PM,The boys and I are sending Easter wishes and good thoughts to you. We had a lovely day today. the weather in Texas is beautiful. We finally had some rain this morning then glorious sunshine the rest of the day. I am happy today. Wilbur's check up went so very well. Still in stage 3 kidney failure, no advance of the condition! It looks like T-Do and I will have him around for a while. Thanks for all of your thought and prayers. I'm sure that they work! Hope you have a good night . I have made soft oatmeal raisin cookies for work tomorrow and some yummy pasta salad for dinner. Wish you could share! MC my positive thought are on the way to you. Hope you had a peaceful Easter.

  5. Good nite all. Hitting the sack early tonite as it seems that all I have done today is snooze. Hope everyone had a Blessed Easter! Sleep tight!

  6. PT this is good news. You have been able to keep Wilbur from declining! I have pasta salad coming out my ears! Had a ton of it at the church--it is a favorite with lots of veggies! I am sure this takes some of the stress off you. Oatmeal raisin cookies are another favorite in this house--might have to go to work with you!

  7. Sweet Dreams MC. Hope that you find enough rest. Hopefully you were able to talk to your sister about the surgery and she will be able to provide some support. I really hope that your family can support you. You have a ton of support here and you know that, but to have someone that can be with you physically during this time would be the best.

  8. MC, sorry you were not feeling well today. I hope you enjoyed your day today in spite of the problems. I pray you feel better tomorrow. I am thinking of you each day. Much love, mama Lynn

  10. Well it is a quiet night--I have a feeling there are many that are still reeling from the loss of another TDK member. I raise a toast of Irish whiskey to Sharon. May your love and laughter be remembered a lifetime. May Paul find peace and comfort in the knowledge that he will be with you at another time. May he share the stories and live life for Sharon. May those dear friends of Sharon please pass on the stories that add laughter and love to this world, which is so dearly in need of both.

Good Night and Peace to All!

  11. Hi, Lynn! I hope you and Kay enjoyed your Easter. Ours has been quiet. Our daughter came over to work on favors for guests at her best friend's wedding next weekend. We spent the afternoon making fortune cookies out of fabric in the bride's colors with wedding-themed fortunes in them. Daughter is her maid of honor and I'm performing the ceremony. :)

  12. Hi and goodnight, SM. I hope you have a chance to catch up on your sleep tonight. You've been through a lot in the last week. {{{hugs}}}

  13. Hello, KW, it was a quiet day here. Glad that your daughter did such a good thing for her friends wedding and you made fortune cookies. Sounds like a great time. Bless you for doing the ceremony. It should be a good time and I wish the couple much happiness in their new life together. Much love and happiness to them both.

  14. Daughter's friend has been through quite a bit. She had her first child at age 16 and still graduated from high school. She married and had two more children. Her husband became addicted to methamphetamine and assaulted her. They are now divorced. She has found the love of her life, a man who treats her with gentleness and who loves her boys. He has a daughter so they are quite a blended family. We are so happy for them!

  15. I think we have all been through the wringer this week and weekend. I feel as though I have been. I wish Terri and John peace as they take Andy over the bridge tomorrow and hope our friends have a good week ahead. May those suffering, suffer much less if any, may those who have lost, find peace. And for all of the rest of us, may we enjoy the days ahead, and send out love and happiness to all we see. I will see you soon, going to bed. Been a very long weekend. Stay well, stay safe, and may the angels kiss you gently while you sleep. Love mama Lynn

  19. It's now 1.17 a.m. AZ time, seeing that the room is quiet, and has been for a wee while I think I'll close down shop...so let the closing begin gratis Moonshadow (caretaker of HRH aka Shadz), LV, & Tigger begin....the nights in NZ are getting cooler and should be getting a wee bit warmer in the US and UK....good job everyone & bless you...

check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box
check - windows shut for Northern and Southern TDKers, the weather is so unpredictable in the in between seasons.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Erin and Jim-boy, and all our family and friends of TDK. May we all remember Sharon and her wit and personality and her soul-mate, husband Paul. Also remember Terri, John and little Andy aka Nilla Bean tomorrow. MC, may your headache and pains settle down to a calmer state of being until your doctor's appointment.

Let us treat the world gently this day.

  21. MS checking into the NS office. Wow! quiet night indeed. Reading back posts.

  22. Evening my friend, yes it is a q***t night out there....the chocolate and good meals must have everyone in a laid back mode. How did your day go today?

Posted 11 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  23. I had a slow day, was having a wonderful dream this morning when my phone rang and it was Mum lamenting the fact that KK was still asleep when they were supposed to be going out. I said "you rang me and woke me to say KK was asleep!" "Go and wake her up" KK thought it was so funny when I told her later. I just did housework until I had to pick Mr MS up from his fishing trip and then it was an afternoon of washing clothes and getting fish sorted for smoking tomorrow. A slow quiet day really. How was your day?

    Posted 11 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  24. Tee hee, I think that's funny too, MS. Evening, Deb. Jasper is stomping all over the keyboard...

Posted 11 months ago by jcat #

  25. I find it funny now but definitely not at the time. Shadz had woken me earlier in the morning around 5.30am, I think the paper being delivered disturbed her. I had to get up and give her brekky before she would go outside. I went back to bed and asleep and into a really good dream and mum rang at a particularly moment. Ah well, que sera sera!

    Posted 11 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  26. Hate it when that happens... Think how much beauty sleep we would get if we didn't have little furbutts to disturb us...

Posted 11 months ago by jcat #

  27. MS, ironic to say the least about your Mum calling 'you' about KK being asleep. I went to a very good friends house for Easter lunch, and sadly lost my temper with her son who has mental issues. Sitting here watching the stupid woman who jumped into the polar bear moat and seemed surprised that he/she attacked her.

Morning jcat, Jasper is giving his opinion.

Posted 11 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  28. I think his opinion is that he didn't care for his supper, Deb, but he has plenty of biscuits to eat too so he is not short on choice...

Deb I missed that bit of the news -- I was in the kitchen, what would possess someone to jump into a polar bear enclosure? My sympathies are entirely with the bear.

Posted 11 months ago by jcat #

  29. It was the CNN news since yesterday, some idiot woman jumped into a moat w/2 polar bears and of course they attacked her...the woman was lucky that some others pulled her out but guess she has quite a few injuries because of it... http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/04/11/polar.bear.attack/index.html

Sometimes what we put down for food is not to 'their' liking...lol

Posted 11 months ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  30. Tell me about it!

When I can afford gravy beef for them though, Libby is really funny. It doesn't matter where she is, she smells it and comes running, then stands on her hind legs to try to get to it (the only time she ever does this for food). Then, for days afterwards, if she hears chopping sounds or the microwave, she comes running in in the hope it's more raw meat.

Reminds me, she's about due for a treat...
