I looked around and saw that no one opened the cafe this morning! On the buffet are of course easter eggs, chocolate eggs, malted milk ball eggs, Reese Peanut butter eggs, jello eggs and of course peeps! As well as anything else left in the Easter basket! Lots of coffee of all kinds and prepartations and for HM lots of Bacon.

Good morning KK & GD! A slow start for everyone this morning, probably (like me), are busy getting things back in order after the Easter holiday! I've got major cleaning to do (curses on HAZEL who AGAIN didn't show up this morning), plus I've got to make another birthday cake for my daughter because the family ate the ENTIRE cake I made yesturday, and HRH was all pouty last night!

I will take some jello eggs please and diet sprite. Not holding anything down today at all. OR on Sunday, or Saturday................

{{{MC}}} We will have all your favorites for when you feel better.
I didn't go nuts on candy or much else for that matter. The past 6 months have been so screwed up, holidays and birthdays seem to have come and gone like any other day. On a whim, however, I picked up 2 Lindt bunnies since I was in the store buying kitty litter anyway. They were expensive and I almost didn't get them, but last night I ate the ears off it (huh? what?) and boy is that good stuff!Posted 11 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Morning everyone! I haven't been this relaxed all year. Mike and I (and the kitties!) are at the beach in NJ and the house is right on the bay so out the window there is just water everywhere. The sun sets over it and it's so stunning. It's nice to just get away from the city and lights and noises. Last night I saw more stars in the sky that I think I've ever seen in my life. We walked along the beach and it was completely relaxing (although slightly cold).

Hi PM.Gini you paint a beautiful picture! Hi Abs, Jersey Joan, MC, GD and KyKat! I have been to the dentist, then to curves. After 1 hr in the dentist chair I almost skipped Curves as I had a tough time walking but I went and now feel better. I'll take some coffee and malt balls please. Have a great day everyone!

I was unable to make a lime snow - no limes available - so I made chocolate mousse and lemon snow. The lamb was so tender it melted in the mouth, some of the best lamb I have eaten in a long while, and the roast potatoes were beautifully cripsy. MNYUM! I really enjoyed lunch, even though I had to cook it myself.
It will soon be time for tea now, so the simnel cake, chocolate crispy cakes and fresh baked bread rolls will be out on the table. Any takers???????????

Hi All, Gini, I wish I was at the Jersey Shore...or anywhere relaxing. I am in the home stretch for doing my organizations biggest fundraiser this week and it is crazy! I worked all day Saturday and worked from home yesterday. You all may not see much of me this week.
I made the most awesome lamb yesterday. I massaged it with olive oil and minced garlic, sprinkled with salt and pepper and then studded the lamb with bacon wrapped olives that had a little sliver of garlic next to the pimento. After an hour, I turned the bacon wrapped olives over so they would get done all the way around. We had those as an appetizer while the lamb finished roasting. mmmmmm The lamb was tender with a hint of garlic, the greenbeans were savoury and the mashed potatoes with lamb gravy were divine!
I have leftovers if anyone wants some for lunch!

Hi PM! I would love to join you for tea on this Easter Monday. This is a special occasion for me; 30 years ago today I was in the UK!

I'm sure we can find some decaf Earl Grey if that's what you want. All varieties of tea are available, including fruit and herbal teas, warm fresh crusty rolls, cold meats, cheeses and cakes. Oh, and the lemon snow is still available, but not for much longer, so grab some now if you want it - I'm going to eat the rest in the next half hour or so.

...yummmmmmm.....PM, KK, please slide some lamb thru the wormhole to me!.... and a simnel cake too!......sounds so delicious......
We had our traditional ham dinner yesturday, and I still feel stuffed!......going light tonight, the butcher had some fresh haddock on sale, so I think I'll pan sear it, and drizzel with frsh lemon..... roasted veggetables as sides and fresh fruit...... (hoping that all this cleaning that Hazel didn't show for will work off the extra calories from yesturday).... back to the mopping......

Ooooh...I'm getting the excited jitters for you guys & your meet-up on Friday. I wish that I were going so I could meet some more wonderful TDK people. But, it would take a pretty big slingshot to get me that far,so I'll have to be there in spirit only. I just know that you'll all have a great time! And it goes without saying (take lots of pics). :)

OMG, I had to run to the store at lunch and saw Pringles loaded baked potato flavor. THEY TASTE BACONY! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Much better than the raw chicken sandwich I got served at lunch! Yes, I sent it back, but it really ruined my appetite.

hi all, sounds like a slow day in the cafe. mine was just awful. i am so embarrassed, i threw up all over myself and in my car. :( i am having an incredibly nauseated monday. talked to the neurosurgeon and they have sent an rx to the pharmacy for high level steroids to decrease the swelling in my brain. if this doesn't help, then we have to see what to do. the neurosurgeon's office is trying my insurance today to see if maybe we can move up the surgery date. not holding out a lot of hope. i can't keep anything in me. the last thing i had that stayed down was on friday for lunch. a cheese roll up from taco bell. i may have to go to the er for iv fluids if i can't keep anything down. oh, did i mention, my HEAD HURTS!

MollyCat, I really do think that you need to go to the ER. I just wish that they would admit you for symptom control. And don't you waste even one nano-second being embarrassed about throwing up. I am so angry at your insurance company. This is bordering on patient neglect to make you wait for the surgery. No, wait - not bordering. It IS patient neglect. I am going to pray that your neurosurgeon can put the screws to them and get them off that ridiculous policy.
Did your doctor tell you to go to the ER? Because you really need to. This is your nurse talking. You can't go on like this and you are going to become totally dehydrated.
I am so worried about you. :-(

I already spoke with them and they said to go to the ER if I feel that I need to. He said IF I can't keep anything down by tomorrow then by all means I need to go in for an IV. They would have me go to an outpt clinic for the IV so I wouldn't have to pay the ER visit cost. I just ate about half a jello cup hoping it will stay down. I might try some hot herbal tea.
