  10. It's quiet today at the café. *Puts on some music and polishes the glasses* Here kitties - have a saucer of cream.

  11. I'm off for a while. Will check in again later. Please serve yourself.

  12. Good morning, all!
Molly you sound better today - glad to hear it!
I couldn't sleep and have been up since 4:15 - yawn! I hope to be fully awake by nine when I have tennis. After tennis I have a meeting with my team and after that I'm meeting a friend at Panera. Don't know if I have to go to work early again today, but I'll have to wait and see if the front desk girl is still sick.

Mi and Bobby send greetings. Mi was crying to go outside to eat some grass so I took both of them out for a little bit. It was nice out and Mi stayed out longerthan he ever has - ate a lot of grass, too - I'm waiting for him to start throwing it up!

  13. Hi everyone!

  14. Morning, Joan!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  15. Good morning everyone! Tansey sampled some of my cheese pie this morning (eggs, ham, swiss cheese) and enjoyed it heartily. :-)

She also likes oatmeal. I make mine with beef base, maybe it seems like kitty food to her. (so what does that say about my breakfast choices?) :-)

Busy day at work, as always...so I'll be checking in and out today. If Sean Connery visits the cafe, please tell him I'll be RIGHT BACK (lol)

  16. Good morning everyone! I will be hitting the road in 45 minutes to meet up with JROC, Joan's sis! Haven't seen her in 9 months so it will be a blast! We both have to drive a bit over an hour to meet at a mall....then shopping, lunch and lots of gabbing!!!!!
MC, glad you have an appt. today and that you are hungry, that's a good sign!
    GD, have fun playing tennis.
Hope you had a nice Easter, CM!
Wishing PM, JC and Sio a nice day, too!

  17. just popping to say good morning! got a busy morning, going downtown to meet with a lawyers' publication to insert advertising..... then off to AAA to get arrangements pinned down for trip to Dominican Rep. in June.... hope everyone has a good day, will check in later.....grabs a handful of bacon as scoots out of the cafe.....

  18. Morning, All! Black pudding? That's so kind of you to make that, PM. But if you don't mind I think that I might skip that and just have eggs.

It's a busy day for me. My United Way allocation panel meets today to try and determine how to disburse funds for the 20 programs that fall under our health panel. I made three site visits and am prepared to do battle for full funding for the programs that I visited. Of course, everyone else will probably feel the same way for their programs.

Then grocery shopping for the kitty sitter who will stay with our girls while we're on vacation and of course a trip to Petsmart to make certain that I leave ample food!

    Black pudding????

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  19. LOL! black pudding is a sausage WWM, here:

Black pudding or blood pudding is an English term for sausage made by cooking blood with a filler until it is thick enough to congeal when cooled. It is also called blood sausage (first attested in 1868, perhaps influenced by German Blutwurst). Although "blood sausage" is often labeled as a North American term, it is also found in English (e.g., in the story "The Name-Day" by Saki). "Blood sausage" is also used as a term for similar blood-based solid foods around the world.

......looking in all closets and under beds for Hazel...... *sighs* where could that worthless slug be!......I'm getting really tired of doing this myself!@

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  20. Germans eat Blutwurst cold and sliced thinly on bread. The English eat it sliced quite thickly and fried for breakfast. Personally I'm not keen, but I have eaten it ................

  21. Um, I think I'll pass on that...

Crispy bacon is always a good thing, though. I am currently enjoying a nice cup of Earl Grey.

Posted 2 years ago by NNGM #

  22. I agree with you. I prefer good old English breakfast tea to Earl Grey most of the time. I'll make a pot of each.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  23. Afternoon tea time now - scones fresh out of the oven and there's still some simnel cake left. Of course you can have anything you like ............

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  24. Oooh, scones... Well, it is almost lunch time here, so maybe I will indulge a little. Warm scone, yummmmmm

Posted 2 years ago by NNGM #

  25. Oh PM...I love and I mean LOVE English Breakfast tea. I would like a cup of that with a hot scone...mmmmmmm

    Hi to all!!!

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  26. Ok on its way. Jam, butter and cream with the scone? What sort of jam?

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  27. Oh... well, then.... I see..... blood sausage.... of course!

*quietly barfs into nearest trash container*

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  28. WWM, here is some nice tea for you. Do you think you could manage a scone, and perhaps a little jam to go with it? With your delicate tummy perhaps we ought to avoid any dairy products?

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  29. PM, would you have a raspberry jam? I have never had clotted cream either, would that be good on a scone?

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  30. Raspberry jam is excellent with scones and of course you must have clotted cream too. There is a big debate about whether you should put the cream on before or after the jam. If I do you one of each, you can come to your own decision can't you.
