Catching up with what went on yesterday....spent the day with JROC and it was a blast!!! Had 2 strange men take pics of us, but have to figure out how to post them, IF they turned out that is...haven't even checked yet.

  8. Glad it is open for awhile. After I get my husband sent off to work...I have to help him like a child going to school..ha ha...I'll be back on to talk.

  9. Spring is in the air here in Michigan, so I think I will have some almond waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. A cup of tea on the side, with a fluffy coonie kitten, would be perfect!

  10. Hi NNGM :)
*hands yummies with tea and a coonie kitty*
It's still a bit chilly here in Ohio..they are calling for a rain/snow mix on Monday...that is INSANE

  11. I have a lunch date with my husband. Every two weeks we try to go out for lunch. Now that he's retired, it's a way to get him out of the house and a way for me to still have lunch off campus every once in awhile.

Retired people who keep busy live longer! He is so busy he's told me "How in the world did I ever hold a regular job?" :-)

Oh, NNGM, our weather dude said it was one of those days that you want to go out to lunch, but have to really convince yourself to go BACK to the office afterwards. (lol)

  12. Have a nice lunch with hubs Siobhan..how fun.
I am off to run some errands...see you all in a bit.

  13. Finally got the husband off to work. I've decided to put the kitten in a pillow case around my neck. She's awful lonely in her box. She is real quite and still now. Maybe she'll go to sleep!

  14. Awww, she can probably feel your heartbeat.

  17. Hi LBR! Glad to see you at the cafe'. Your little baby girl is like my Sammy, and someone suggested Sam or Samantha as a name. I vote for that too! Click on my avatar and see my cats on catster, Sammy, Oliver, and Hootie *RIP*. I think I need a cuppa joe. I have been to the dentist, then grocery shopping, then Curves and my mouth is still numb!!! Bah!

  18. Hi everyone,
I'll try to remember to take my camera with me tomorrow (I forgot for the last London meet, and I was on the bike last Northampton meet).

Pika, I'll see you at Paddington at 11.23.

It's hissing it down here, but at least it's warm.

  19. SOM, I had that feeling yesterday after I got back from my dentist :)
*hands SOM a cup of joe*

  20. I go to the dentist's next Wednesday :-(. Hopefully I'll only have to have my teeth descaled and polished.

I'll have a "nice cuppa tea" - builders brew, please.

  21. Hi CM, PM, and anyone else at the buffet! {{Maddie}} {{Abbie}}. Good news on Abbie sleeping thru the night! Yay!

  22. Hi SOM, CM and anyone else.

  23. I can't stay long I have to go and collect my car from the garage. The stereo packed up AGAIN, just one more electrical fault in a long line of electrical faults.

  24. Good morning, all!

It's one of those breakfast on the porch (with a sweater) days here. Sophie has just been chatting it up with our local squirrel, fortunately with a window between them. We call him "Fat Squirrel" because he really is . . . fat, that is. I feed a flock of finches in the winter and spring and he's discovered the sunflower seeds. I think he thinks he's found squirrel heaven.

Would love a strawberry waffle, whipped cream, strong coffee and lots of bacon (!) from the buffet along with a short haired, green-eyed orangie to cuddle.

  27. LBR, with your tender love and care for your new little girlie, I'm betting she's going to be just fine. Your baby has lots of new aunties here on TDK :-)

When it seems she's going to live and thrive, please consider submitting a picture of her for The Daily Kitten. Then she will be a true STAR! :-)

  28. Nom, nom, purr; nom, nom, purr. Repeat as often as necessary.

  29. Hi to all ...
I've been fairly absent for a while. Too much emotional crud in my life and didn't want to pass it along here. I'm working very hard to be more positive and would accept any positive thoughts to help me along.
I am absolutely amazed by MC's positive attitude about everything, and Feral's too. No matter what is happening in their lives, they stay positive and wish others the best.
WWM, Emma - your attitude and beautiful words inspire me on a daily basis.
So... I'm back - in case anyone missed me or was wondering.
I am on the road to a happier, more positive life. :)

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  30. YES, 2Pop, I did wonder where you were!
It is difficult to always remain positive.....I know I struggle with that, too, and just a bit ago, I was hit with a bombshell! Seems our ex-daughter-in-law left her current jerk of a boyfriend, and might need to stay with us for awhile, along with our granddaughter, and ex DIL's 2 little boys from other relationships! We can't say no, as we still care for her, and of course, for the welfare of our granddaughter....but I wonder what probs will come with this.....sorry, didn't mean to go off on this....am still in shock, I guess! I am wishing YOU the best and everyone else who is struggling with a crisis in their lives :)
