  1. Good grief, 2P and Katt, that's what littermates are for! Don't try to go it alone. Love and support for crises are what we do best for each other if it's only to offer prayers and encouragement. And the prayer power of TDK has proven pretty awesome at times.

  4. I'm with Katth... it does mean a lot to me as well.

Katth - you are an amazing woman to take in ex-DIL ! I understand about grandbaby, but even at that. Wow. I don't have a house big enough to do that.

The night before my birthday I made man-friend an ex-man-friend. It has been very very difficult - we were together 5 years. My birthday kinda sucked this year as well. No cake, no gifts to speak of. XMF gave me a floor jack and jack stands so I can change my own oil (given to me a week before my birthday) and Dad gave me a book I wanted (He Mele Aloha - a Hawaiian song book, for the ukulele) which was wonderful !!! My son in CA forgot my B-day and sent flowers 3 days later. Just not a great B-day year. Sorry.... didn't mean to go on. Apparently it still all hurts.

  5. Awwww, I'm sorry 2p!!! It is hard to break up with someone, that's for sure. I think from what you mentioned before, that making man friend an ex is a good idea. It'll take a while to adjust and get over it, but it gets better. You deserve happiness and Ex wasn't making you happy. ((Hugs))

I had a pretty busy day so far. Got up at 4:30am to cover for the morning girl at the gym. Got pulled over on my way home last night for broken license plate lights so I really wasn't too keen on venturing out in the dark again, but I made it to the gym without being pulled over again. Worked 5:45am to 9:00am, went and gave Bobby his pill and then to the hair dresser for color and a trim. After that, I went to the mechanic who fixed my tail light and asked them to fix my plate lights - they wer both out. The did - and did it for FREE! Didn't even pay for the bulbs! Funny thing was a guy in there overheard me talking to the mechanic - turned out he got pulled over last night around the same time, by the same cop for the same thing! Then I went grocery shopping and I just got home. I'm hoping to catch a nap before going to work - again!

  6. ((((2P)))))
You are so loved here 2P..Of course it hurt about your birthday and no matter what kind of relationship you have, it always hurts to let it go. You are not alone you have us. I wish I could have been there for you at this rough time. But just think that you can start anew...new phase of life :) Big big hugs my friend. Maddie and Abbie miss their Auntie. :)

Katt, wow..Don't feel bad ever about venting or letting us know what is going on. Sometimes just talking about it can open up new ideas, venues, or make you feel more clear headed. life is definitely not easy or planned...

  7. yea GD..nice to know you got those lights fixed for free!
Rest a bit if you can..I love naps..don't get enough of them...lol

  8. Thanks CM... I need to remember that I do have friends here. And there is someone here 24x7. I can easily get into a pity-party all by myself. Thus the effort to be more positive. My Mom was that way... I miss her so. That was other kicker... my first B-day without her. *sigh* I know that will get easier in time as well.

  9. 2P..I have so been there with the mom thing...my first everything without my mom was rough..this last year...been a bit better...Still teared up at Easter when she was mentioned..You will always miss her..but it gets a bit easier..
You can always talk to me about your mom and missing her..I totally understand, My mom has only been gone for 2 years..I still miss her like crazy.

  10. Hi all! back from golf, what a glorious day! Low humidity (unusual here!) and about 72...... couldn't have been more perfect!.... my game was not as bad as it has been, and of course I played with my three best golfing girls, so we had a blast!..... did I ever tell the story of me almost knocking my best friend out!...... She was on the other side of the green, and I was of course, in the litter box (sand).... you have to hit the ball hard to get out of sand, and I hit it so hard it flew right at her.... I yelled, and she turned right into it, and it hit her square on the chin! (she's lucky she's got teeth!)... turns out, if I hadn't yelled, it probably would have missed her (hind sight!).... any way of course this was 2 weeks before her 30 year college reunion party, and here she has this goose egg bump on her chin..... it went from a large goose egg to a big black bruise, then purple, then greenish and finally yellow....... we became makeup artitsts trying to cover it up..... there was only a small hit of it when she went to her reunion.....

    ....some friend I am!......

  12. Thanks all....I just talked with my son and warned him that his ex-wife and kids may be here when he comes up tomorrow with our real (lol) daughter-in-law!....my son lives an hour away, and spends every other weekend with his daughter.
2POP, letting someone go is always hard, I hope you can find some peace and happiness!

  13. .....which has me wondering - LB, do you play golf? Your name sounds like my golf game - most shots boomerang back where they shouldn't be!!! LOL

  14. Just got back from the garage. As I suspected the software registered "No fault", so they haven't fixed a thing and the car will have another electrical fault in a couple of weeks.

So far, the door mirrors have refused to fold away, the interior temperature stuck on Hi (blasting 30 degrees C into my face), the exterior temperature sensor started registering -50C, so the roof refused to operate, the stereo speakers were cutting in and out, one day the car just refused to start, and just recently the stereo cut out altogether. As these are all intermittent faults, by the time they can fit me in at the garage the particular fault has gone again.

    I'm peed off!

  15. AZDebra: Re: World's Most Expensive Cat, above. Up to 40 opounds? Imagine that jumping up on your bed at night! And God forbid kitty should want to sleep draped over your chest! OY! And the litter box . . . no, no, no. However lovely, this does not sound like an indoor cat unless the indoors is a domed stadium.

Posted 2 years ago by GizzysAuntie #

  16. Hi all! just popping in quickly. Sounds like the cat is a nightmare Pm! Sent you an email with my mobile number in for tomorrow.

  24. GA, I know that cat would have to be toilet trained for sure...not a litter box big enough for him/her. Sounds like it would make a good watch kitty though, or scare the daylights out of anyone who was brave enough to try and break in your house.

2P, hugs for you and the changes in your life right now...love the avatar that you have, it is a kitty right?

I need to run to the post office to mail prescriptions to Phoenix so they will mail all my meds to the house from now on. Just tired as heck after being called in to work @ 11.10 pm and really not expecting to work at ll so the mindset wasn't there and took a bit to get there. Oh well such is life I suppose, now waiting on the winds to pick up but the weekend is supposed to be in the mid 90's for Tucson, so Phoenix should be even warmer.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  25. AZDeb - thank you... I'll take those hugs ! Yep... it's a kitty in a grass skirt :D

I heard low 90s for Sunday ! YIKES !! Time to buy more sun screen.

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  27. LOL Sio - I bet you're right !

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  28. Fred would more a Sumo Wrestler than a hula dancer....lol

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  29. LOL CM - you should see some of the Hawaiian and Samoan men dance. They are not small, and wow, can they move ! When I was on Moloka'i for a camp in June of 2007, there was a gentleman who was over 500 lbs and he was doing a wonderfully fun hula. So very very good !!!
He also wore the best T-shirt. On the back was a road sign that said "Caution, this bruddah make wide turns"

Posted 2 years ago by 2 Popoki #

  30. That's funny..I love the shirt.
