I was amazed at this womans voice, and her story! 47 yr old, unemployed, never been kissed, lives with her cat (Pebbles) and has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. Since her appearance has brought this woman world wide attention with close to 12 million You Tube hits.
I am, I am (raising my hand), I'm a true fan!! I'd like to hear more.
And I, too, am brought to tears, CW. What a find she is!

This not usually the type of music I listen too (Rocker to the end!!!) but I have to say I feel in love with this "cheeky beauty". Incredible!

Ok, now I am embarrassed! My 75 year old mom had to tell me about this woman! She is NOT an American Idol or Simon Cowell fan so I am surprised she even gave it notice. If MY MOM knows about her, she must be headed for success! Yay for the underdog! :)

My husband listened to her performance for the first time tonight. I had no idea since he was listening through his earphones, but tears were streaming down his face. She is so awesome!! :D

I just loved the expressions on the faces of the judges; they were just blown away by that amazing talent.
And, as one of the judges more or less said, we all love to be cynical (and, let's face it, often have reason to be) but secretly I think we also love to be proved wrong and have our cynicism blown out of the water!
She is amazing. She reminds me in a way of Gomer Pyle...goofy Marine character on tv, but as soon as he opened his mouth to sing...Jim Nabors came out (lol)
I bet Susan wins it all. she -will- anyway, even if she doesn't win the contest, you -know- she's gonna get a record contract and her life will never be the same.
Bless her heart. What a voice. What was the song she sang, was it from a musical?
I saw the video this morning in an email from a co-worker. Her voice was just amazing! She is so unassuming. I loved the expressions on everyone's faces as she started to sing and then as they cheered for her.

What amazed me was the reaction of the audience AND the judges to this lady's appearance and demeanor. As though being a few years older, a few pounds heavier, and not having a model's face and figure meant you were not worth the time.
And my dears, she WAS worth the time.
Susan Boyle chose a very powerful song that has hideous little breath traps throughout, demands an extremely flexible and emotional voice, and needs to be sung by someone who has great control and range.
Within 5 seconds, the listeners were on their feet.
I finally saw this for the first time last night. It will not be the last time we see her.
My darlings, this lady is the real thing. Someone with phenomenal talent who is decent and unassuming, who does the right thing, keeps up her sass, and has not let life beat her down. The good girl in all of us.
