  1. My cat Spook has been drooling a lot this evening. She's normally on the slobbery side (she leaves very wet patches on her fur when she grooms herself), but this is excessive even for her. She's otherwise fine -- on my lap at the moment, digging in her claw (ouch) -- so when should I worry?

  2. Maybe a tooth problem? Or did she get into something?

  3. oh worry now. make sure your not giving spook too much water. Excessive drooling like that could lead to dehydration at times.

  4. She's eating right now and acting fine... Should I keep an eye on her for awhile?

  6. I'll keep an eye on her for another 20 minutes or so. Maybe she was just drooling because she was happy.

  7. My Bobbiesue drools like crazy when she's happy and purring in my lap,she doesn't drool otherwise. And she doesn't seem to like it when I laugh at her for drooling. ;)

  8. Well, it appears to have stopped for the moment, and she's still acting like herself, so I'll try not to worry. Thanks for y'all's help.

  10. Open her mouth look in and make sure her throat looks all pink and healthy. I have a cat with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) and he gets this bacterial infection, his throat looks white, that causes him to drool excessively.
