My kitten is here!

  1. Hi everyone, I recently joined. I finally brought my kitten home, and I'd like to share a picture of her. She's half Siamese and half Ragdoll. We are having a hard time deciding on her name.

    She did not like the car ride, and protested entire time I was driving. Once at home she slept with gusto in her comfy bed for a few hours. She explored her new home a little bit, got playful, now napping on my lap. :) She is a sweet, easy-going kitten. She ate some wet food and I have shown her box, but no result yet. I don't know how often a kitten normally uses her litter box in a day. It's been about 8 hours since she left her previous home.

    How old do you think she is? Did the folks you got her from tell you she uses the litterbox? Did they tell you what kind of food she was getting?

  18. Thank you everyone, I am so enchanted by this little one. Yesterday she used the box properly, and had normal poop. (YAY) Since then she's been doing great with her box. She is 8 weeks old and I am feeding her the same food she has been eating, so no major change in her diet. Eventually I'd like to switch to Wellness, since I hear good thing about it from this and other forums, and she likes Wellness treats that I've given her.

    Her name has been hard to decide, because to the names I like, my hubby says "meh"! (and I think his suggestion "meh" as well, which doesn't help) Misty could be a good name for her, I'll have to see if he will go with it. :)

    I have couple more photos. I was told that her temperament comes from her Ragdoll mom, and I think it's true! I have never had a cat who is so at ease when held. She is very gentle but not timid, and loves to nap on my lap. I think she is training me! hehe.
