   OK, this is a new one. Not looking for advice or anything, just sharing something Alicia and I think is funny to watch.

   Munchkin has a new eating habit. She won't do this if there are other cats eating, only by herself when she feels hungry and nobody else is near the food.

   She will walk over to the buffet line, and with her paw, scoop out ONE nugget of food. She will then proceed to pounce on it, chase it, bat it around the floor like a toy or a bug for a 15 or 20 seconds, then take both paws and bring it to her mouth to eat and chew. Then she goes back to the bowl, and does it again. Wash, rinse, repeat. Over and over. Eventually she either gets bored and walks away, or decides she's not getting food fast enough so she'll go back to the bowl and eat normally for a bit until she's satisfied.

   It's hilarious to see. Wish we had a video cam to share it.

   My boy Luke will haul the food out of the bowl and est it from the floor - without the playing part. The funniest thing is that if I tell him to stop playing with his food and eat like a big cat, he does!

   Is it normal for a cat to try to "cover up" their food when they don't want any at that time? When they are not hungry? The kitten we lost used to do that. It was on the tile so there was nothing to cover the food with, but she would use her paw all around the food. If there had been dirt there, it would have landed on her food.

   I think the funnier thing that the kits are starting to do is taking tissues out of the box and putting them in their water dish...

   I have to say I have some of your babies pics saved to my rotating screensaver and they always make me smile when they come up!

   Rhindon - my babies sometimes try to bury their food. I thought it was because they didn't like it but I eventually figured out they were hiding their kill so they could come back and eat it later.
