  1. Great story Kykat, beautifully written.
When our girls had 'monster problems' I also wrote them a story and the monsters were friendly in it, just a bit misunderstood. It was a nonsense story full of silly and odd things that made them laugh and like the monsters. It worked, thankfully.
Meegz has a blue bear, it's name is Blue Bear.
Airy has Honey Bear, he sits on her bed now wearing an old baby romper suit of Airy's waiting for her to come home. Shadz likes to cuddle up against Honey Bear, he must smell like Airy still.

  2. Thanks MS, just now getting back to this thread. In the story, I didn't describe the monsters, say where they came from or take a stand on their motivations. Partly because I wanted to leave it open as to whether they are bad monsters and get vanquished or good monsters who want to be friends.

  3. For the last 3 nights we have had no problems with monsters...we both feel that she wanted extra attention from us. So now, if she says she's scared we acknowledge that she's scared by saying, okay, but your safe then that's it. We don't talk about what she is scared of or anything and it's working...we change the subject and she's fine. She asks for her monster spray and it's on her bed by the pillow and I always say, Daddy already sprayed the room and don't waste it so leave it there and she does...Whoo!
