Whips us a HUGE gallon sized Mocha! Pull out the big guns, the "monster" plate to hold all the bacon you need. Hands off the yummies to a nice strong Male Sleek Black cat named Tom who brings yums to CM. What happened CM? Sickies? Monsters? Oh heavens, betty just spilled my tea all over my lap! My scrubs are soaked! AAHH

Ok, sorry to split but I need to change my outfit! I need to clean up my legs as they are sticky from tea! I hope that Betty isn't throwing a fit for a reason. usually this happens when one of them is sick! (fingers crossed)

Good morning MC and CM. I'll go with the hot cocoa seeing as it's almost my bedtime here. Yay, Saturday in less than an hour. April 25th is a National remembrance day here and in Australia called ANZAC day, when we remember all who have fallen in battle or sacrificed their live for their country in all wars and we honour the returned service men and women. We have dawn parades and we wear red poppies.

Good morning / afternoon / evening, MC, CM and MS! Hurray - TGIF! I'll just have some coffee for now.
MC - How annoying about your tea! I can sympathise - I spilled an entire glass of water on the floor first thing this morning! Not a good start!
CM - Sorry about your rough night. I just read your other post about Maddie. I wish I had some advice for you!
MS - We have something similar here in the UK. Our rememberance day is on Nov. 11, with most of the services etc. on Remberance Sunday. We also wear red poppies.

I know kittens grow very quickly but in less then two weeks they went from tiny little things with tiny dots for eyes and now their eyes are bigger and they are definatly longer then they were 2 weeks ago! I am so going to miss them.
I guess I will have to foster again :)

Still here, just catching up on a veritable mountain of emails that have arrived over the last few days.
Rubia, Nov 11 isn't that Armistice Day. 11th minute,11th hour,11th day of the 11th month. We remember it here too but in a much more informal way. There will be thousands of Aussie and New Zealand young people all gathering at Gallipoli this weekend to remember and honour not only their countrymen but also the Turks that were our enemy. It's become a pilgrimage almost.

Morning, all!
CM, I'm sorry you had another rough night with Maddie. I wish I had some advice, but all I can offer is {{{hugs}}}.
MC, how are you doing today? I'm worrying about you and I wish I could speed up your surgery date; unfortunately, if that happens it will probably be because of a cancellation for not-happy reasons :( So, we will just have to wait.
George is being dopey this morning; he's decided that he absolutely will not eat his salmon-flavored wet food. I finally felt so guilty that I cleaned out his dish and put down a different type of wet food, which he immediately snarfed up (yes, he's spoiled). I didn't leave any of the cans of salmon-flavored food for the George-sitters to feed him while we were away, since I knew he might not eat it and I didn't want them to worry. But now I have about 20 cans of it, and I'm just about out of the other kinds (they come in boxes of 36 cans - 12 of each flavor). I'm thinking that if he really won't eat it, maybe a fellow New York TDKer and I can do a wet food swap or something. Silly cat!
Happy Friday everyone!

Hi Kilroy! I can sympathise on the food thing. Tikka can be very picky too. If you give her something she really doesn't want, you get no peace until you give her something else. Fortunately, I can usually get her to eat at least SOME of her food if I put a few of her favourite treats on top. She will gobble those up, and next thing she knows, she's eating her food too. ;-)

Yes, MS - Nov 11 is Armistice Day. They call it Rememberance Day over here. We used to call it Armistace Day in the U.S., but now it is called Veteran's Day. We also have Memorial Day in the U.S. which is the last Sunday in May.

Hi Kilroy!! My kits are like that too..they can be very picky..sometimes I say, well this is it..eat your hard food, other times, I open a whole other can....
Chey, I give you kudos. I couldn't foster, I would want to keep them all!!! They are sooooo cute.
I am playing a really fun game on Pogo right now..trying to keep me awake..lol

I've done that with George's food, put crunchies on top of the wet food to get him to eat it, and sometimes it works. Should have tried that this a.m. For some reason this morning it just made me feel like a bad kitty mom when he kept walking over to his dish and then walking away without eating anything.
Amazing how they can push our buttons, isn't it?

I've emerged from under my mountain of emails finally. Time for me to head to bed as it's now midnight. Goodnight Kilroy,CM,Rubia,Chey and last but not least MC. Have a good day folks.

..... raises paw and joins the "spoiled my cat rotten" club.....I've just about given up trying to get Abby to eat wet food!... even crunchies on top won't entice her to try it!..... I've battled for a week now, and since we are traveling in a week, I don't want her too upset, so I've raised the white flag, and gone back to giving her the crunchies she loves and IS ADDICTED TO!

popping in to say hi! hope you all have a wonderful day. i have a kinda busy one. work and then getting oil changed. was supposed to have that done yesterday but when i showed up they couldn't find my appointment but I could wait two hours. Really? Do I look like a woman or something????

Hi everyone - TGIF! Leela is clueless when it comes to food. When she was a baby I fed her every few hours or so, then gradually weaned her so that she only eats the wet stuff at dinnertime. During the day and all night she has unlimited crunchies and water.
I'll have some fruit for breakfast and a cuddly Maine Coon kitten.
Hope everyone has a great day and weekend. Sincere hugs to you who need them. Wish I had time to go thru more threads...Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #
