  1. Hi all, back from a wonderful day! Son drove down from Gainesville, and we put him on a plane to go visit his girlfriend in NC.... had about an hour to share a meal and catch up with him.....so glad to see that kid!... then, adjacent to the airport is a lovely public golf course, so Hubbs and I played 18.... drove home over the causeway and stopped at this little "hole in the wall" (and yes I do mean it) fish shack, and had THE BEST smoked mullet I have ever eaten!.....*sighs* can't say when I've had such a nice day!.... now for a shower, then chillin' with my book! How was everyone's day? and what's for dinner?

  2. I bought myself a cute new notebook for that. The neurosurgeon stressed how important it will be from this day forward to watch what I eat. Watch the foods that cause swelling as it would cause my brain to swell too. I don't like salt and don't add it to things (even ask for fries WITHOUT salt). There are also some foods that effect the spinal and brain fluids but he said he didn't want to overwhelm me too much yet! My tuna helper is awesome, the girls loved the tuna juice!

  4. I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner! And the girls, too!

I've never written down what I eat before, and it's really helping me. I try to estimate the calories in what I eat, and write that down, too. I add the calories up at the end of the day to see how I did. (all I need now is smiley face stickers!!)
I've started drinking decaf diet green tea. It's supposed to be good for you and is also a diuretic, so that helps if you're retaining fluids.

  5. Oh no, I just looked at the time! I've still got an hour ans 23 minutes to go!!! Whiiine!
AV, I'm glad you had such a nice day. The weather here is gorgeous - it must be by you, too! My day wasn't great. Started with the 7:30am phone call that one of my players couldn't play, went on to forfeit a position and then got our butts kicked by the opponents. Working 1-8 - waaaay to long to spend in this place!

  8. Yay!!! I'm tired and I didn't have time to take a shower after my match and I've been freezing in the 72 degrees at the gym for almost 6 hours now. My nails are purple!!!
And "What Not to Wear" is waiting, too!

  9. Yes, that's true! Mi's had a busy week. Mr. T's (the backyard neighbor kitty) humans have been building a patio in the backyard. It's been hard work for Mi to supervise from the window! Here were trucks in and out with pavers, people working and just general commotion. It looks like they're done now - Mi needs a break!

  11. He really is! Gets a bit scared and has to go hide every now and then, but other than that.... :)

  12. LOL... envisioning Mi in a little construction hat...... Hope you get some rest GD! I'm so proud of you (and you Molly) for being so good about your dietary habits!... it is hard to eat right, but once your system gets used to it, you won't even miss the "bad" stuff.... (well not much anyway!) LOL....

  13. Thanks, AV! So far, so good! They say it takes a few weeks to establish new habits, and it's been 5 for me now, so I think I'm getting the hang of it :)

  14. Oh boy, got 5 weeks to go! The old saying goes 21 days a habit makes or something like that! LOL

  15. Yep, I thought it was 2 or 3 weeks. I find it to be true, to a certain extent. I still try not to tempt myself by shopping when I'm hungry, buying bad for me foods, etc.
