TGIF! Kitties are very excited as it is Friday! They are waking up, stretching and bathing. They are running around turning on the lights and putting table cloths on the tables. They are putting on jazz music for their guests. Fluffing kitty pillows and beds, picking up toys so guests don't trip over them. It is a short order Friday NS. Pizza, breadsticks, pretzels, chips, nachos, and cheese/meat/crax. You can order from the grill too if you so desire. We have a full stocked bar with a beautiful Siamese tending. We also have sodas, water, coffee/tea, and juices. Come on in and say hi or stay a while. Hope you are happy the week is over and you can unwind for the weekend. The OPEN sign is on, Welcome!

Almost time to go! The gym emptied at 7:25 and I started to clean up, but then someone came in at 7:35 - how cruel! I though I'd be going home early! I still have to get gas (if I don't want to tomorrow morning before leaving for work at 7:25!) and stop at Publix.

Stinkers! I hated that when I used to work at the YMCA! I am gonna go soak in the bathtub. My legs are really cramping and so are my toes, both legs. Have a great nite GD, luv to the boys!

Hey there my friends :) Its entirely too warm here in Tucson, and the summer hasn't really started yet, sigh. Trying to type here with Kitty aka Butthead wanting to grab my fingers because they are moving of all things!! He is a cute cow-kitty but as a teen boy kitty (or the equivalent of) he is a brat a lot of times :)So will be in and out for a bit while putzing around while Kitty is trying now to grab the keyboard, got to find something else for him to focus on for a little bit.

hi all !!! since i haven't had dinner yet, i'll have it here !!! i will take a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato and ham and salt and pepper. a ceasar salad minus the egg in the dressing. no anchovies., and an ice cold caffeine free diet pepsi, no ice...and maybe strawberries dipped in chocolate for dessert, please...

Sorry your teenage kitty is being a butt, Deb. Boots has been a velcro kitty with me all day. I started getting things out to start a sewing project and Digit decided she needed to supervise the process very closely. ;)
Sorry your feet are cramping, MC. The soak in the tub sounds nice. I hope it helps those muscles relax.
Turn on some classical music and crank it up for the guy in the gym, GD. Maybe he won't stay long. lol

Yeah butthead is now playing innocent and sleeping while hanging his paw down over the keyboard so I have to type around it, lol. Every once in awhile he puts his claws out so that I don't forget that he isn't really sleeping, just posing as such. If he wasn't so danged cute, he would be in trouble all the time!
Digit knows its her duty to supervise all sewing projects, and Boots is keeper of your safety, KW.
Cheri, the sammie sounds really good actually.
GD, hope that the latecomer finishes up soon so you can go home and relax with the boys.
MC, hope that you are able to relax and enjoy your evening :)

....can I just type something just really sweet!.... Abby and I have been "fighting" all last week over my trying to get her to switch to "wet" food.... I know she needs it, and I really did try everything, every brand, every trick that EVERYONE posted!.... no luck!....the stubborn little mite apparantely is more stubborn than me..... so I've decided to give it a rest for a while, it's a week until we make our big trek up to the mountains, and I want her calm and happy.... so I gave in - ok, back to crunchies (the little addict!)... anyway, in order to even get her crunchies, she must eat them when I first put them down in the morning, and then wait for me to get home and feed her at night...... otherwise, the "white bandit" (Cuddles) steaths in and hoovers all Abbys' food (which she then promptly pukes up in daughters' bed).... this creates a problem....... ANYWAY, what is so sweet is that Abby is so very patient! I never knew a cat that had patience!!!... she will wait all day for those precious crunchies, and then when I finally sit down to type, she just now came over to the computer desk, and trilled her sweet little trill, and gently pawed the cabinet door where the crunchies are kept, and when I looked in those cute little eyes, I could just here her saying "Mom, can I please have my crunchies now?"........ it was so sweet, and she asked so nicely........... ***melts into kitty lovingness!*****

AV, lol it sounds like she has YOU trained! Not that there aren't a lot of US (me included) that have went thru that. Heck I look in the mirror and a lot of times see the word 'rekcus' on my forehead ~ kind of like looking thru the rear-view mirror of the car to see 'ambulance' on that vehicle roaring at you!

AV I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo trained! Max has me waking up every morning at 6am with either whiskers in dave, sitting his butt on my head or dropping water bottles full ones on my head! Then I get up go potty and give him is canned food and medicine. The entire time he is meowing whats sounds like NOW? Then he rushes to the rooma dn I follow! Then is it cuddle time and play time. I hope doors for him and windows jsut for his pleasure! Only I haven't given in on is his kicthen counter surfing and human food!

Well, my girls did the tilt head, wrap tails around their paws and viola'-food appeared in their bowl! WOW, I too, am well trained!

It's 3.22 a.m. AZ time, ...the night is cold in NZ and cold or at least chilly in USA with Old Man Winter on the out..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV, & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light,healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there!

Hi Deb, do you mean it's q**** at w***? If so I hope it stays that way. Shadz has spent the evening asleep in the bean bag, then suddenly she leaps out and runs to the door. Odd behaviour, I let her out and now I'm waiting for her to return. Somehow I think she has gone hunting. It's unusually warm for the time of night and the forecast rain has not arrived yet so I think she has gone a hunting.

Hi CM, yeah, I think she gets it from me. Something outside must have got her attention because usually once she is in for the night she stays in. It's very warm for an Autumn evening and I have a feeling the mice are out feeding before rain arrives. Shadz knows these things. How was Maddie last night CM, did she settle any better?

Hi Deb! How are you today...It's going to be 85 here today and nice and sunny. We are going to a party this afternoon so it will be such a wonderful day.
You know MS...she did good last night. We went to dinner then took her to a park to play on the slides and swings etc..then at bed, I put her down, read to her..I had to go in there 2 times and Wayne twice. She said she was scared only twice and all we said was you are okay and we love you..stay in bed. I read her book to her again and that was it..it was about 45 minutes of this but that's better and we didn't feed into her fear of monsters by talking about them. She woke up at 1am--Wayne was up and he went in there and she was just up..she wasn't scared...so he put her back to bed and told her good night, he said she cried for a few minutes but went back to sleep by 2...
I think all is good..We are going to pay more quality attention to her and when she is scared, acknowledge it, but don't keep talking about, it seems to work for us...Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

Whatever works is great. It's a bit like tiring a kitty out with playing so it will sleep all night. 45 minutes is not bad at all, keep up the great work CM and Wayne too.
