I can't wait! Preparting to meet our great TDK friends for lunch. Finally! UK is such fun. I am missing my kitties but Audra is taking good care of them. Lots of wonderful things to see. Beautiful flowers and lots of folks walking dogs. I have not seen ANY kits! I think I am going through kitty withdrawl!

I'm back in our apartment. Can I tell you how much fun Abbey and I had?!? TDK UK ladies are bright, funny, wonderful conversation. The food at Porter's was delcious. I had game pie and ate every bite. Savory and quite yummy. Of course the puddings were also wonderful. I got to see photo's of kitties. MCW should get an award for putting this meet together. I almost forgot to take a picture. I will have Abbey load it when she wakes up from her "jet lag nap". Hugs and lots of happiness to MCW, Rubia, Kilroy for making our afternoon so darn special!! Thanks so much. A note to you ladies...we did get to Harrod's and did some damage to the bank account.

...a fantastic day out, well worth having to velcro a hot water bottle to my poor old neck for the 3 or so hours I've been home (it's rebelling over 4 hours driving on top of The Week From Hell at work!) - Puddytat, it was so nice to meet you, you and your daughter are such good & entertaining company. And what with staying at Rubia's last night, I got to meet Tika too! Weekends don't come much better. :o) Looking forward to these photos!
OK, onto the important stuff - I know these details are relished! - I had lamb & mint sausages with garlic mash, followed by that wonderful chocolate sponge & chocolate custard pudding that you may have seen in the pictures from last week's meet (good wasn't it Kilroy?!)
So, any further TDK/UK meets coming up? Watch this space... ;o)

The nice thing about Porters is there's no pressure to eat & go - our table was booked for 1pm, I left at 4.30, not sure how long the others stayed, but the staff were quite happy to let us sit and chat. Nice staff, nice place, good food - definitely good choice for a TDK UK HQ!
Mollycat, Puddytat and her daughter are in London til Tuesday and then move on to Paris for a week (they're so lucky, Paris is gorgeous at this time of year).

I had the fisherman's pie followed by Ginger Gee Wizz (a fabulous ginger ice-cream). Puddytat and her daughter Abbie are LOVELY people. Go and visit them in Texas if you can.
I forgot my camera but Puddytat and Rubia both had theirs, and the waitress took pictures of us all.
An excellent time was had by all, lots of laughter, and I promise to order the faggots followed by spotted dick next time.

Hello all! Back from a day at the museums. Abbey is asleep on the sofa and I am resting my poor feet. British Museum, National Portrait Gallery and the V&A all in one day. Yikes. We had such a good time but good grief it makes for a long day. I am wishing I had a game pie and ginger pudding right now. We are going to a post office tomorrow and hope that we don't have to take out a bank loan to ship all of the books Abbey bought back to Texas. TDK folks you must come and meet these special women! We have been talking about them all day. I am so lucky to have new friends that I like SO much. MCW I will be making the trip to Austin when you visit. Abbey wants to know if she is invited too! Hope you all have a great Sunday evening. Hugs to all!
