Hi all! The kitties are ready to serve you! They are only having short orders tonite as it is Saturday and the crowd is usually lite. The bar is fully stocked and the kits inform me the champagne fountain will be up and working for Sunday brunch tomorrow. We have some rock and roll on the jukebox, kittehs anxiously pacing for laps, and the windows thrown wide open! Come on in, the NS is OPEN! Welcome!

Hey all. I haven't been posting too much but I have been lurking some. This week was somewhat hectic with school. I got my figure drawing class cleared from SFSU, so I only have 10 classes left to graduate. I turned in my application to graduate, woohoo! This time next year I'll be a month away from being completely done with school. I am so ready to graduate.
I've started going back to the gym, and really watching what I eat. I've joined a website that tracks all your calories, what you've consumed and burned throughout the day. I want to lose about 25 pounds, and get back down to my normal size. I'm on Depo provera, and it's notorious for weight gain. Soooo this is my last dose, and I'll be back on the pill next month, and hopefully that'll help me lose some of that weight. I've gained 15+ pounds since September, when I first got on it again.
So yup. That's what I've been up to. Now I get to go give Chuck a flea bath.

I ended up going in to work today to figure out how far behind I've fallen in the last week. It wasn't too bad! I got my files reviewed for Monday's hearings and swung by the jail to sign orders to hold newly arrested folks. (The arresting officer has to complete an affidavit of probable cause. If it is sufficient, I sign an order authorizing the person to be held until court on Monday. If it isn't sufficient, they are released.)
Hubby checked in today. He is visiting a friend from college who lives with his wife in Washington, D.C. They are having a great time. I envy him all the great restaurants he has to choose from for dinner!

Hi KW! Glad to hear I'm not the only one working on the weekend. I have a big presentation on Tuesday and was just doing some work on it as I know Monday is going to be full of other meetings and admin. I had to smile the other day at your comment that you are doing ukelele lessons. Here in Wellington there is a International Ukelele Orchestra - http://www.ukulele.co.nz/. I can imagine you in court doing the hula with your ukelele!

Good to see you here, SMM. I am on the mend. I still have coughing fits that just about kill me, but they are few and far between. Unfortunately, talking a lot tends to bring them on and I will have to do a lot of talking Monday morning. I'll just have to work on being much better by Monday! :)

Ringo likes to park himself behind my pillow at night - between it and the headboard. He was lying on his back, tummy exposed, paws in the air the other night. Very cute. But if you disturb him he then wants to disturb us and MrKK and I have to put up with a cat shoving his nose into your face in the wee hours of the morning until he settles down again!

He and Dara still chase each other and fight but there appears to be a small level of detente forming! He curled up beside her the other night and I thought it was great until he decided to keep putting a paw on her and she snapped and whacked him! Like two kids "Mom, he keeps touching me!" "He touched me first!"

Found it in my lighthouse cookie jar!
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp honeyPour on boiling water in a coffee mug and strain and add lemon juice if liked. Sip a teaspoon every couple of hours.
