It's a stormy morning here as I pack the girls, their backpacks and their kitty umbrellas as we trek off to open the cafe! When we arrive we find cats sleeping everywhere. Turn on the lights and they come flying to greet us with headbonks and purrs! I have the girls get out the best linen tablecloths and napkins as it is the Sunday Champagne Brunch. The Kitties are busily preparing all sorts of yummies for the buffet. We have some breakfast items; waffles, belgian waffles, pancakes, crepe's, biscuits and gravy, scones, muffins, donuts, bacon, canadian bacon, sausage (patties/links), scrambled eggs, scrambled egg casserole, hash browns, cheesey hash brown casserole, omlets made to order, and jams, jellies and fresh churned butter. Our brunch items include; roast beef, ham, baked chicken, salad, potatoes, veggies, homeade breads, and an assortment of Italian desserts. We have any beverage you could want as well as the champagne fountain in full force. There are berries of all varities to throw in your champagne. It's quite a feast today and the girls would be thrilled if you would stop by on your way to your day. How was your Saturday? Did you sleep well? What's in store today? The sign outside the cafe is switched to OPEN! Welcome!

Good morning MC and Wilma and Betty. It's late Sunday evening here, it's been raining most of the day. Rain is good though as we have been quite dry here. Shadz has been out mouse hunting, I don't know if she caught any as she has most likely eaten the evidence. Shadz slept very well Saturday night, I on the other hand didn't as she was hogging the covers and left me very little bed to sleep on. No food or drink for me thank as I'll be heading off to bed soon.

Hi Molly, hi MS - I've had an incredibly lazy morning letting my neck recover from a busy week and a long day yesterday! I'll be off to the supermarket soon, then picking Mum up later to come and see Bones.

Hope you have wonderful sweet dreams and Shadz doesnt bring home any "evidence" for you to clean up! It is just storming like crazy here and I got very wet going out for the paper.

HRH Shadz has galloped upstairs so it does not bode well for me sleeping well tonight. Also we bought a new radio/alarm clock, one with large LED numbers so our older eyes can see them. Trouble is they lit the bedroom up like daylight. I am devising something to put in front of the clock to dull the glow but which we can still see the time through. First trial tonight.
Goodnight MC and MCW and Deb when she manages to get to the cafe. Have a wonderful Sunday folks and we'll test drive Monday for you and shake the kinks out of it.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Morning, afternoon and evening my friends.
Good Night MS, sleep good tonight and have a great Monday :)
MCW..how are you? Busy week..make sure you rest that neck and say hi to Mum for us. How is Bones? I have to go to the supermarket too today..sigh..
MC, how are you feeling? We had such a great time at the party yesterday and Maddie played and played and played..she fell and scraped up the inside of her arm really bad, but she kept on...she has some sunburn on her arms, legs and face..I totally forgot sunblock..bad mommy!!! She had no nap yesterday but went to bed wonderfully. She was sooooo tired. She cried out a few times in the night but nothing we had to go in there for...I was asleep by 11:30(talked on the phone from 10-11pm..idiot) woke up at 6:15 to Fred meowing in my face loudly and would not let me go back to sleep...so got up fed the poor starving kitties, made some coffee and been checking email, facebook, playing games....my time...nice and quiet :)

Morning all!
MCW, sorry to hear about your neck. You should definitely take it easy today; you've been really busy being an excellent hostess.
CM, glad you had a good time and that Maddie had a good night.
MC, take care of yourself; the last thing you need is pneumonia on top of everything else {{MC}}
George sulked at me all day yesterday because I gave him the wet food he's decided he doesn't like anymore (he liked it fine a month ago and we have about 20 cans of it, sigh). I gave him a different kind this morning so he's decided he loves me again (for now).
Our big bathroom renovation is supposed to start a week from tomorrow, and it's a good thing, because somehow hubby managed to splatter paint all over the bathroom on Friday. He was just going to paint the bathroom door and then sit down and have his morning coffee. He set the paint can down (says he doesn't remember where, I'm guessing the side of the sink) and had barely walked away for a second when he heard a huge CRASH and came back to find paint everywhere. Paint on the walls, on the ceiling, on the floor, on the photos that hang just outside the bathroom, and best of all, pouring down the hall on the hardwood floor. It took him hours to clean it up. The one piece of good news is that we can't blame George :) If he had been within 10 feet of the paint can when it fell, he would have been covered, and there wasn't so much as a speck of paint on him. What a mess, though.

Morning Kilroy...Oh man..what a mess..At least you are getting your bathroom re-done. Wow..I can only imagine what that bathroom looked like when the paint feel. At least George was no where in the vicinity.

Hi jcat!!! How are you this evening?

Hi, CM, I'm just fine, thank you. I just baked 15 (one-portion) dessert pies for the freezer, how industrious is that? They probably don't taste too good but on a chilly winter's night, I'm not fussy, tee hee. I bought the puff pastry but all the fruit came from neighbours' trees. (Gee, wonder what they'll do when they find out! No, not really, they brought them round.)
I'm so glad both the girls slept well last night, CM! Sounds like it really helps to exhaust Maddy's little socks off all day... How are you this morning?

Hi there all of you. Please can I have a large mimosa? It's a beautiful Spring day here. 36,000 people are running the London Marathon and they have a wonderful day for it.

I wonder if Puddytat and Abbie have gone to watch any of it. The marathon would account for the extra transport and tourist problems yesterday.

I feel so sorry for people who get hay fever. I am lucky, I've never had it. In UK hayfever season coincides with the public exams, so lots of kids have to fight hayfever whilst doing exams that will determine their future as university places are offered on the basis of exam results.
