I am so depressed I am crying over Huddy's Mama's Daddy. He's not even my Daddy and I am bawling. This is a crazy time of the year for me at the art musuem. I was out last week at the MS Art Colony. My assistant had emergancy surgery a week ago last Friday and she emailed last Friday to quit, effective immediately. I mean, really, I have the GumTree Festival starting on May 9, huge fund raiser at the museum on May 8 and the girl quit. She was due back to work on May 5. I mean really, she could have at least come in and answered phones and taken care of the business she needed to. I have a band that wanted $6000 to perform one 1 hour set on Friday nite and one 45 minute set on Saturday afternoon. I didn't sign the contract and now they are raising 10 times of hell. My car is still loaded with art supplies from last week, my daughter dropped off her dog at my house, I now have 3 dogs living there, 4 of my 5 cats are pissed. the fifth cat hasn't showed up to tell me how mad he is. I am getting a stress headache thinking about it. On top of it all, the new ac at the museum is not working and I have been summoneds for Jury Duty next week.
Calgon take me away or I may slash my wrist! LOL, just kidding, don't get alarmed.

Tina, I can SOOOOOOO relate! I wish I could take some time off to come down and help. I know the realities of life in the non-profit world. (Just finised our big two-day event fundraiser) Does the museum have any volunteers and could one of them come in during the day to answer the phones? We have a volunteer corps and unpaid interns where I work and we could not keep the doors open without them.

Sending you a big hug and some tissues to wipe your eyes and blow your nose. I don't know a thing about fundraising but if I could I would be there in a heartbeat to help manage the phones. I hope you can find a volunteer to help you out.

Thanks y'all! I needed that big TDK hug! I do have a very sweet 18 year old that is coming in to answer the phone, he gives great phone! My guild of volunteers are being put on notice as I type this. It is one day at a time. sometimes I feel like I am wading in a big ole mud hole, mired down and unable to move. But, I am checking off the list, if I could find the list, one thing at a time. I am trying to fend off the huge headache that keeps trying to tap me in the temple. Anyway, YadaYadaYada
