Evening all, I wish it was a rainy day here in NEPA! It's been 90 for the past three days! For cring out loud, it's only April and it's NOT supposed to be this hot yet, Yikes!

The weather was great here! In the low 80s and breezy.
I can't wait to go home!!! The obnoxious guy who trains the America's Top Team fighters is driving me nuts! He always comes in late and I can't get him out of here in time to close at nine. He and his guys like to sit and watch me clean up all the equipment they've used - including the heavy stuff - and sit and chat while I do it. I told him today that it's not safe to leave the treadmills running when they go on to other things. He looked surprised, but I don't care. It's rude to take up the treadmills like that and the other day someone nearly stepped onto one that was going top-speed. What do I find just now! He left another one running!!! Grrrr! -
Can you charge him for overtime? Even if you can't, can you present him with a bill for overtime and see if he gets the hint?
What made me think of that was a high school classmate of mine who worked at a fine-dining establishment. She witnessed a customer slipping a (rather expensive) fork into her purse. My friend wrote on the bottom of the bill "Fork: $5.00" and presented the bill to the customer's male companion. He gave his companion the "death glare" and showed her the bill. Suddenly, all kinds of flatware emerged from the woman's purse and back onto the table!

LOL GK!..... Hubbs and I were eating at a Carrabbas because our nephew was a waiter there about 5 yrs ago... there was this little old couple on the table next to us!...we watched that little old woman wrap a huge bottle of olive oil (the kind they bring to the table and pour out for dipping bread in)... and stuff it in her overly large bag!....... we couldn't believe our eyes.... when my nephew came back, we told him and he said not to worry, if she wanted it that bad, let her have it - plus "those tops never stay on"! LOL..... we laughed thinking about the lady opening her purse (she had laid it down inside to fit it in)... and the whole thing had leaked out!..... olive oil - now that would be a mess! (served her right!)

i'm pretty mellow right now. when i got to work, i realized i hadn't taken any pain medication at home and didn't have any at work, so i gritted my teeth and lived on aspirin for the day. i went straight home from work to the bottle of vicodin, took one finally had some relief. now i'm back on my pain med schedule and i'll take some strawberries dipped in milk chocolate please !!!

GK, unfortunately Big Boss loves fighting of all kinds and the fighters work out for FREE!!! Can't charge them anything and have to be nice because they're the boss' buddies!
I was beyond mad tonight, though. They walked in the bathroom at nine and I called after them that they had TWO minutes. They emerged at 9:15! I was sitting and waiting for them at the front door with most of the lights off. I was pissed! I told their trainer last week that we close at nine and now the same thing happened! He apologized again and said they'd run late because they were from out of town. I told him they could skip the shower then! Grrrr! I was trying hard not to yell - I was just cranky and not wanting to work til 9:15 just because they couldn't leave when the gym closes. The fighters were very nice and apologetic when tehy came out to the point where I felt kind of bad for being so cranky. But still!!! Grrr! -

Sorry you had a Monday and a half, GK. Just having a Monday is bad enough. How are your kids? How is your daughter's boyfriend doing with his health challenge? Is your daughter still into swimming?
GD, those guys are just plain rude. Can you get the boss to lay down the law to these idiots? This is disrespectful of your time. Grrrr!
Today was my first day back to work after being sick most of last week. Looooong day, but I had hula class tonight so life is good. :)

Peeps into NS office, all tidy and kitties asleep in furry heaps wherever they stopped. Checking back posts, and then heading off to bed. Waited up for Shadz to come in last night but she didn't, hunting was much more exciting than curling up at home. She wandered in as I ate breakfast, demanded food and then lay in the sun.
