...from Tikka! I was woken up this morning - at 5:30 AM (!!!) by a familiar sounding 'Mrr-rr, mrr-rr, mr-rr....', and I thought 'Uh OH!'. Sure enough, she had deposited a rather large, dead mouse on the hallway floor just outside our bedroom. Shaking my head, I thanked her for her thoughtful gift, disposed of it, and then gave her her breakfast.
A few minutes later, once I was back in bed and trying to get back to sleep, Tikka decided to give us further treat - an extra special session of 'Thundering Herd of Elephants'. Thundering paws up and down the stairs, in and out of the bedroom, scratching on the laundy hamper, more thundering paws... Aarrgghh! Eventually she did quiet down, but it did seem to take ages to get back to sleep.
LOL - I think she has been reading my copy of the 'Devious Book for Cats'! I can imagine that it advises that the cat's person would just love a mouse as a birthday gift, and that the cat should find the biggest mouse possible and to present it as early in the morning as possible because her person will enjoy the "gift" that much more!
