  1. Unlocks the NS office and puts on the lights. Kitties come running for pets and luvin'! Make sure they all get the luv they need and then go to feed and water them. Tonite Betty came with me to the NS as Wilma was too busy sleeping! Betty decided she wanted an ice cream theme NS tonite! We are setting up an ice cream bar with all flavors of ice cream, toppings, and whipped cream. We also have malts and shakes for those of you who want them. We put fun straws and spoons out as well as colorful bowls. The bar is stocked as well as having soft drinks. The kitties are chilly tonite and wanting a warm lap to nap on. Please come in and have some ice cream with us! What is your favorite flavor? I would like CC Cookie dough with Cashews and Whipped Cream! YUMMMMMMM!

  2. Yum, Ice cream was delish! I think Betty and I are going to go soak in the bath tub. Betty loves to sit on the side of the tub and play with the rubber ducky I bought for her and Wilma! Help yourself to some Ice cream!

  6. Hi Everyone!!

GD, I love Mocha chip ice cream that haagen daz use to have. Unfortunately they have discontinued it but they are providing a new one called java chip. I hope it is as good as the mocha chip.

Wow, 2P, that is expensive! Hey GD, I just found that a Panera is going to be coming soon to my shopping center. Whoo hoo!!

  7. Ice cream! ! yes please. I love Hokey Pokey ice cream but I bet you don't have it. Apparently it is very much a Kiwi ice cream and what ex-pats miss the most. I'll have Rum n Raisin ice cream please.
    Hi MC,GD,Dorie,2P & SMM. waving.

  8. hmmm..how about a nice big bowl of mocha chip ice cream, hot fudge and some chopped peanuts with a dollop of real whip cream to top it off! Oh I would be in the land of happiness after eating that!! Sylvester is wanting extra attention tonight. I just gave him a nice brushing. Boy does that make his toes curl!

  9. SMM, you will LOVE Panera! Delish, I eat there at least once a week!

  10. oh dear... we're in a "cleanings" diet... not to loose weight, but to cleanse our "stomach" systems..... Hubbs and I are doing it because daughter needs to! cutting out 3 MajoR things to start - beer, sugar and caffine!..... :(

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  11. oh my, that will be tough! good luck, you will prevail! i have cut out sugar, non complex carbs and am desperately trying to wean myself from caffiene, which appears to be the hardest of all!

  12. MC, I hear GD rave about Panera and so I am delighted it will be coming soon.

Posted 2 years ago by SylMiaFelixMomma #

  13. Good luck with that AV. Cutting out sugar easy, beer too. . . but caffeine? That will be difficult as it's in so many things, even the humble cup of tea. If I was you I'd eat up large on the ice cream as it is virtual.

  14. We are so lacking in a good sandwich and pastry shop nearby. When Noahs left after they started renovating the shopping center, I was very disappointed as I love their bagels and schmears (whipped cream cheese). With Panera coming I am looking forward to a place close by for decent food that doesn't cost and arm and a leg.

This sounds good to me for starters:

    Asiago Roast Beef
Oven-roasted beef, smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions & creamy horseradish sauce, on our Asiago Cheese Demi.

    or this:

    French Onion Soup
Sliced onion sautéed in sweet butter and seasonings, gently simmered in a light beef broth with essence of tomato, topped with our homemade croutons and Asiago-Parmesan cheese. Served daily.

  15. Hi, SMM, MS, AV, MC, 2P and SM.

It is so good to see you posting, SM! I wish I could shoulder some of the weight you are having to bear. I saw that you learned you will be teaching English next year. Does that mean you are not going to be assigned to all of the special needs kids? I hope it does. You don't need any more stress! :)

SMM, you will have to tell us what you think of Panera after it opens in your area. :D

  21. I love ice cream, butter brickle or pecan with vanilla or vice versa especially and any of the vanilla w/marble flavoring going thru them. Looked up the Hokey Pokey and it sounds about the same, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hokey_pokey_(ice_cream)

I don't think we have Panera here or at least I haven't heard of them near me, here is the website though... http://www.panerabread.com/

On my way to the place that pays for the indulgences of these four legged creatures that do not let me sleep, sigh. But at least tonight I am leaving early as I have a doc's appt tomorrow and its a drive I don't want to make without any sleep at all. So see anyone awake after the witching hour.

  23. Here for a bit, will be leaving early though tonight....lots of people here and I have a med appt tomorrow.

Peeks in, all one can hear is the soft whispering sounds of soft snoring from the corners of the room....

It's 2.29 a.m. AZ time, ...the night is warm in NZ and cold or at least chilly in USA with Old Man Winter on the out..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis Moonshadow, LV, & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light, healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there!

Special thoughts for all those with Swine flu and I hope the authorities world wide can shut it down.
Now have confirmed cases here in NZ and more throughout the world.
