Agency kitties have been very busy, the lights are on, the coffee is hot, the tea water is ready, and Chef Khat(tm) is ready to prepare anything you like, from toasted bagels and fresh cream cheese, to breakfast burritos!
Cow kitties are the wait staff today, for your morning cafe pleasure. :-)

Leela curled up with me about ten minutes before the alarm went off. She was looking out the window and chattering with the birds. She was with us during the night, laying between us. When we petted her, she would purr and coo. Pretty cool for a kitty who doesn't purr easily.

Bad morning in the Kilroy household; George bit me on the bare leg as soon as I got out of bed. I don't see how I could have provoked him, as I was barely awake. He's also been meowing a lot the last few days, but for the life of me I can't figure out why.

I've spent the last hour on the computer and got a lot accomplished already. I was going to meet my doubles partner at Dunkin Donuts at 8:45 for breakfast before our match, but she's running late. Don't know if we'll go now at all. The match is at 10:00. There are only 3 matches left this season. A break will be nice!

One of Leela's nicknames is Koala Bear. She runs and jumps up in a doorway and holds on, looking around to see if anyone's watching. Her latest thing is tagging my ankles when I walk up the stairs. Seems like I'm always "it"!

Granddaughter is still sick....she so wanted to go to school today, can you imagine that??! She got teary even! She still has a fever, so she must stay home and her chest sounds congested.

Nope, no Nutro. No major changes in his food, except I tried him on a new flavor of wet food yesterday (usual brand, just a different flavor). He ate most of it. The meowing started before that, though. I buy his wet food in cases of 36 cans because it's cheaper, and he's decided he doesn't like one of the 3 flavors. So, I decided to test him with the other 3 flavors that come together in a case (I hope that makes sense). Yesterday was the first test and like I said, he ate most of it. I made sure he had plenty of his usual dry food, in case he didn't go for the wet stuff.
So, no clue why he decided to bite me this morning. Made for a lousy start to the day, though.
...ok, I can hardly watch the news any more!... on a scale of 1 to 6, the CDC has just rated the swine flu epidemic a 5!!!!!..... and cruise ships that are docking here in TAMPA!.... coming from Mexico are having their "departees" looked over for symptoms (and some of these people are complaining!)...... doning a mask, gloves and pocket bottle of hand-santi......
.... hoping desparately that the WWMs are back safely...... hopefully we'll here from her soon.... I think GD said she docked yesturday, so should be traveling home today or over the weekend......
I feel they are over exaggerating the flu a bit. All flu strains have some deaths because people's immunes are all ready compromized. What should be done is people should be washing their hands and face with regular soap and maby scaling down on the antibactirial stuff. I mean its fine to be clean and have a clean house but geeze if you make it steril your own immune system isnt going to be able to fight because it wont have been exposed to bacteria and viruses.
Morning everyone, haven't been talking much, killer migraine this morning and right now these guys @ w**k are making me want to bang my head against the wall....but I do hope that everyone has a good day.
The problem with this strain of flu is that it is attacking people who normally have good immune systems (20-40 yr olds) and not mainly targeting the young children and/or older folks......sorry about butting in on that subject..I had gotten this from a few different doctors today while I was at the hospital waiting for my appt.

ohhh here it was saying that it was affecting the kids and elderly mostly. Depends on what news outlet I suppose. I didnt relize it was affecting the healthy people mostly. To be honest I am quite confused about half the facts and media reports I have read.
At least with SARS it was contained to one province i think. (Just mine, Ontario).
Gah. I want to talk about anything but flu stuff.
How are people today and how are cats and the foster/rescue kittens people are caring for?
This is one of the reasons I don't like going to hospitals....

UMC suspends 8 staffers for patient photos
Eight University Medical Center staff members have been suspended for taking "potentially inappropriate" photos of a patient with a personal camera phone.
UMC officials confirmed Wednesday that they had suspended four nurses and four patient-care technicians after a report last Friday.
The hospital also notified the patient's family and the Tucson Police Department.
The employees could end up losing their jobs, depending on the outcome of a continuing investigation, hospital officials said.
UMC officials are trying to determine whether the staff members violated patient-privacy and UMC policies, which prohibit taking photos of patients without the patients' written consent.
Hospital policy also forbids the use of personal camera phones by staffers inside the hospital.
Officials with UMC did not disclose what the photographs show. More information was not released Wednesday night.

Good Morning Everyone!!!! This maybe a silly question but...Thor's day cafe?? Have I forgotten a holiday? or is Emma's neighbors kitty running the cafe today??
Oh and does the agency have anymore cow kitties!! my beloved Mr.Bug was a cow kitty I sure miss cuddling with him.
G'morn all. We are on the Liberty of the Seas and when we docked in San Juan they got the stuff for your hands and everyone is using it. So far no reports of illness.
