Most of you may know that I applied to the Master's in Social Work program at Portland State University in Portland, OR and they put me on the waitlist...well....
I GOT IN!!!!! OMGOMGOMGOMG! I cannot believe it, this is the best news! i'm soo excited and overjoyed...Pull up a chair and have a celebratory drink with me! :o)

Fantastic! You will love the program, too! I got my MS in counseling through the Ed Dept at PSU and there is a friendly rivalry between the 2 programs, with even some class crossovers. They are a super dept. and everyone is so motivated-I know you will do well. And it is a BIG compliment that you got accepted-there is usually about 600 applicants and they only have about 200 spots open-that was back in 2000, so I'm sure it is even more competitive now. CONGRATULATIONS!! Happy dance and salute!!!

thank you all for the congrats, advice, etc. I'm still in shock, the news still hasn't sunk in yet, but i'm just still in celebration mode... :D My life goals are falling into place exactly like they should...it's a good feeling.

Oh no AL82, this is your celebration, you've got to do the whole 9 yards - drink a load, sing rude rugby songs, drink some more, dance on the tables, drink some more, spend a little too much time talking to God on the big white telephone, sleep for 14 hours, take vast quantities of Alka Selzter and then swear off drink for the rest of your life ;o)
