Milo has discovered the grass outside. He LOVES running out the door to the grass and will chow down on it like it's his favorite food or something. The last few days, he's started sitting and crying by the door and scraping on the door to get out to eat grass.
He never throws up the grass like Bobby usually does and he likes to eat a lot of it. What do you think is the reason he's craving grass so much? Could there be something wrong with him? Is he missing something in his diet?

GD, my girls love grass. At Petsmart you can buy seed for kitty grass. It sprouts really quickly but will only last about two to three weeks. I grow it in a pot, and when it starts to fade I just plant new seeds. One packet of seeds will easily last you all summer.

A couple of our cats love grass. They only throw up occasionally but they eat it daily. The grass you grow yourself is probably better for them then letting them eat outside grass. You don't know what kind of pesticides, bird poop, etc., they may be getting with the outside grass.
I have ten little planter pots. I put soil and seeds in all of them, but just water one. It grows really fast. When the growing one looks like it's only going to last a few more days, I water another one. That way I always have one growing and one for eating, plus I only have to fuss with dirt and seeds once every 3 months.

Mmmmmmm grass, Shadz loves grass and not just to make her 'toss her cookies'. We began to think she was part sheep with the amount of grazing she did. For her it's just something else in her diet.

Mine love grass, but since they are indoors only I buy it at PetSmart, or have grown it from a kit. I like CBM's idea--I'll have to give it a try.
