I tried hard not to laugh at him. It was a neighbor watering her yard that scared him at the end, by the way, not the mean birdies!
They probably do have babies somewhere - i've never seen them be so aggressive toward him. They were dive bombing him for over 10 minutes.

It's nesting and baby time for the mockingbirds,they will dive bomb anything then,I've even been bombed. When I was a kid they scared me to death.

LOL! He jumped like that quite a few times while the birdies were dive bombing him. He got some nice exercise and slept well last night!
He had his leash on, too!!!

I can't wait to see him. I figured they were mockingbirds - they'll attack anybody, and can't stand my sister for some reason. When my dad was a letter-carrier one used to attack him every day and peck at his arm when he was reaching into the bag for mail.

I don't know anything about birds - they were loud and black :)

I took Bobby back outside today and the black birds didn't bother him, so he was free to stalk the grey ones. Mi is getting braver and now I keep the door open so he can go out and eat grass. Whenever he hears or sees something, he gets scared and runs back inside. Today I was out with Bobby almost 45 minutes and Mi spent most of that time in right on the doorstep taking everything in.

Yep, that looks and sounds like them! They're quite the nuisance, actually! At the tennis center, they were everywhere looking for food. Summer camp when the kids ate outside was particularly crazy!

Yay Mi, indeed! He still only ventures about 2 feet outside the door and crouches down the entire time. My little scaredy cat :)

I LOVED it!! It reminded me of some kitty animal documentary about the way cats move when they jump. I give Bobby a solid 10!! Bobby should be the star athlete in the kittylympics!! lol

The boys are running wild right now, I'm afraid. Maybe bad weather is coming, but they ARE very entertaining and comical.

Bobby almost caught that bird!!! They were pretty loud. Hopefully they were not crows, they are nasty. I had the misfortune of seeing them kill 2 baby bunnies a few weeks back. Will not feel the same way about them ever again.

HM, mine were crazy lat night. Mi even had the fat tail thing going on, and that never happens! They had me up most of the night. They're sleeping the day away today!

Oh no, TL, not baby bunnies!!! That's terrible :(
I think Marsha is right and they're grackles.
Bobby is good in Nature. I wonder if it's from spending his first 5-6 weeks in the wild with his mother or if he was too young then to learn anything. I started taking him outside when he was 3 1/2 - 4 months old. We did a lot of "training" before then - hunting, jumping, etc.
Aside from going outside, his favorite thing is when a fly gets in the house that he can run and chase. Unfortunately the fly never lasts very long :)

Poor Mi-Mi, he musta been really mad. Mine sleep all day too. When I'm home, I see them when I wake up and then they stay in bed until I get back IN the bed at night unless they want to eat or take care of personal business.

I wish I could see Bobby and Mi-Mi going crazy - I'll bet it makes you laugh.
