  1. If MC's getting a package deal on new heads, can I get in on it? My stupid head is killing me today, and is only going to get worse the longer I'm upright. And hubby got theater tickets for tonight, which means several hours longer than normal before I can go crash on the couch.

Sorry for the grumpies, folks. On a brighter note, we survived our first night without our bathroom, which is being gutted and renovated. We were going to stay with stepdaughter in Brooklyn, but it turns out our building has a bathroom for the maintenance crew, down on the first floor, and they gave us a key so we can use it until ours is back in service (which should be Thursday at the latest, knock wood). And George was a good boy and used his temporarily relocated box last night with no problem. Of course, he was also a bad boy and tried to bite me this morning, but at least we didn't have to deal with litter box issues.

  2. Night Jcat!...... hugs to all of you guys with headaches!!! NO FUN!.... going to exercise class now, check in later!

Posted 3 years ago by AV #

  3. Kilroy, how long will your bathroom be out of service? I wish we lived closer! Not just to share bathrooms, but I think it would be a hoot to get George and Leela together!
*TDK White Light to help rid those of you with those nasty headaches*

  4. We should have it back by Thursday, if everything goes according to plan. In the meantime, the toilet and sink are laid out in our spare room, and George is going nuts checking them out.

  5. Migraine day today :-(

I had Miss Tansey visit me last night, and somehow she had gotten her head and left front leg stuck in a baseball cap. (lololol). I extricated her gently, and I had a purring, kneading, thankful girl kitty snuggle with me for almost twenty minutes afterward. She actually woke me up and I noticed I was gritting my teeth and had the beginnings of my migraine. Got medication for it and while I still had the headache, it wasn't as bad. No barfing (that's worth celebrating).

  6. I see Dr. Scott Free today, an orthopedic foot guy, to see what he has to say about my right foot. It's still hurting, in my ankle.

Posted 3 years ago by Siobhan #

  7. Oh, and PS, I definitely think that George and Leela should get together for a playdate. They can compare notes on dealing with contractors, although Leela is obviously the expert.

  8. Hi to everyone!! I had to take care of the children then vacuum both upstairs and downstairs and cleaned both bathrooms and it still looks like I didn't do anything. Just put Abbers down for her 1st nap and getting ready to get some lunch in a bit for Maddie...
It seems everyone needs a new head :) Lets have a collective TDK white light sent to banish any and all headaches!!

  9. I'm sure Leela would love a playdate with George! She really misses Andy and is jealous that Shaddo and Jiggs get to play with him.
Oh, and she would show George that you can play with humans' feet and ankles without hurting them. I'm "it" all the time!

  10. ¡Buenos días, Todos! ¡Espero que todos ustedes estarán sintiéndose mejor pronto!! ¡Y Cinco Feliz de Mayonesa! ¡Vuélvase loco y coma un burrito y el guacamol!

Now, about the Mexican army defeating the French at Puebla..... you know that it doesn't take much to defeat the French. I'm pretty sure that a small group of students from a girls school could get the job done!

Posted 3 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  24. I didn't know that AV was in NC, either!

Hola, Opa - from one Texan to another!

CM, this is our favorite way to do asparagus. Drizzle them with just a bit of olive oil and then gather them into little bundles. Usually four or five stalks per bundle. Wrap the bundle with bacon (what else?) and secure with a toothpick. Grill the asparagus. When the bacon is done, the asparagus will be perfectly cooked. They have a wonderful smoky flavor.

  25. mmm WWM, that sounds wonderful. I wish Wayne would eat asparagus....

Posted 3 years ago by cricketsmama #

  26. Wishing everyone a nice afternoon! Had to get some grocery shopping done after dropping granddaughter at school....just got everything put away and organized, & in less than a few hours, it will be time to go pick granddaughter up!

Posted 3 years ago by katthays #

  27. Me too back from the grocery store, I thought I saw you whiz by, Katt.

Jcat said: Is this a silly question? What actually is Cinco de Mayo -- I mean, what festival?

Um I actually think it has something to do with Hellmann's wanting a festival for their "Mayo", my other food group. Hope this 'splains a lot! :)

Now I am craving quacomole!!! Bring it on please!

Posted 3 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  28. You mean it's not about 5 jars of Mayo??? (Hey, I took German in High School - just sayin'.)

Posted 3 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  29. LOL @ Joan.... I'm coming to your house tonight for dinner!

Posted 3 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  30. LOL, Joan! It's actually just a reason to drink margarita's!

CM, if Wayne won't eat asparagus, you can do the same thing with zucchini. I just cut them into strips about the same thickness as a stalk of asparagus would be. They are equally as good.
